We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our team.

The role will involve a mixture of maintenance and small works projects, carrying out all the usual duties associated with the position. Fire experience would also be advantageous.

Ideally, candidates will be based around North London. Occasional stay-aways may be required, but we always do our best to work around personal commitments and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

We pride ourselves on maintaining a positive working environment, with regular drinks provided by the boss, curry nights, and other team socials.

🟢 Location: Kent, Surrey but also possibly Birmingham

🟢 Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

🟢 Salary: Up to £40,000 + standby and overtime payment

🟢 Vans and tools provided

🟢 Door-to-door travel

🟢 Start Date: Immediate

Essential smoke alarm safety tips 🔥

✔️ Install smoke alarms on every floor of your home.

✔️ Make sure your smoke alarms are properly installed and tested regularly.

✔️ Avoid placing smoke alarms in kitchens or bathrooms as the steam could damage the alarm, or set it off.

✔️ Do not paint over smoke alarms. Painting over a smoke alarm could block airflow and make it harder for the alarm to detect a fire.

✔️ Replace smoke alarms every 10 years.

✔️ And finally - it sounds obvious, but it happens more often than you’d think - never cover smoke alarms, even if they go off easily.

Another big project coming together near Sittingbourne 👌

We’re currently on the 2nd fix stage, fitting off downlights, sockets, data points and completing the electrical, fire alarm and CCTV installation throughout the site.

This one’s a really interesting job at a distribution centre and health clinic for a red light therapy company, including offices, treatment rooms and warehouse space all in one building.

The CCTV system being installed is full coverage with perimeter protection to give the whole site solid security inside and out.

On the fire side, we’ve upgraded the existing system to a brand new Category L2 fire alarm setup with an advanced 2-loop panel for improved coverage and protection across the building.

Here are some recent upgrades completed at one of the sites we manage in Gillingham.

The project included the installation of additional fire alarm relays and detectors, a repeater panel, new access control doors with clock in/out functionality, as well as extensive emergency lighting remedial works and system upgrades.

Fire panel replacement completed this week, along with the installation of two replacement devices and one new device for a warehouse unit in North London.

During the visit, we also identified a number of issues with the existing intruder alarm system, which pre-dates our involvement, and have provided recommendations to resolve these.
