Step inside EP Architects’ latest project; the conversion of a Grade II Listed Pub Building to a modern HMO! Due to the sensitive nature of the building’s listed status and its location in a conservation area, securing planning approval was only possible through an appeal process to overturn a refusal.

The building, which was in disrepair, has been transformed into 10 stylish rooms, with shared kitchen and bathroom spaces. Careful attention to detail ensures that the building's heritage is preserved while providing comfortable living spaces for its occupants.

EXPERIENCED ARCHITECT REQUIRED

We are a small successful Architects practice based at Church Farm, Ulcombe.

Our workload continues to increase, and we are looking to recruit a suitably qualified person to help us maintain the quality of service our clients have come to expect from E P Architects Ltd.

You should be ARB registered with a minimum of 5 years post qualified experience and be able to co-ordinate projects from initial meeting to preparing construction drawings. Initially the appointment will be for two days per week, with the opportunity to expand working hours in discussion with the directors and workload permitting.

Ideally your skills should include but not be limited to the following:

1 You should have experience in technical drawing and a sound knowledge of Building Regulations.

2 Your computer skills should include working with AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Sketchup and ideally Photoshop.

3 You should have a current driving licence and your own car as some of your work will involve visiting sites and getting to the office which is not easy by public transport.

EP Architects are proud to present another completed project.

Our brief was to expand the cramped kitchen and provide a new open plan layout that connects the family throughout the kitchen, living and dining spaces. EP Architects' design has improved the flow of the house, providing a much-needed ground floor WC, utility and open plan living space with views over the south facing garden.

MD Building Services Ltd. completed the construction and installed the kitchen.

Our first project with XL Pools Ltd. was a great success and perfectly complimented the modern extension to the main house. Watch to the end for a full view of the site!

We are proud to have secured another planning approval on this site recently, after being called to committee by the parish council.

EP Architects proudly presents another successful project.

Our brief was to create an open-plan living space and simplify the ground floor layout. The utility room was previously located in an outbuilding and the existing layout was disjointed. The scheme combines a modern design with the existing structure. EP Architects designed a new extension to bring the utility room into the house and provide a new ground floor wet-room.

The existing extension had a failing roof, which has been replaced with a new flat roof to mirror the modern extension. Large roof lanterns now fill the open-plan interior space with natural light.

The internal alterations have improved the flow of the house, connecting the living, dining and kitchen areas. The result is a modern space, where the family can cook, dine and relax together with open views of the garden.

MD Building Services completed the construction and installed the kitchen, provided by Bespoke Affordable Kitchens.
