When a South London school needed to reline a 28-metre freestanding brick chimney, traditional rigid stainless steel couldn't fit the existing space. FuranFlex was chosen instead as it expands to fit the exact contours, maximizing internal airflow and resulting in a finished product in just hours.

This project took place in a Grade II listed Cumbrian estate with complex, irregular chimneys. The
ALS Chimneys team removed outdated stainless liners and vermiculite backfill, then installed FURANFLEX — the only system able to mould to the historic geometry and maintain a full 300 mm flue diameter without altering protected structure.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Installer Technical Training!

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming 32 accredited FuranFlex installers from across the UK, alongside our colleagues from FuranFlex® by Kompozitor Hungary and the full Kompozit’all UK team.

It was a fantastic day of training and open conversation - focused on FuranFlex-25 technology, improving support, and celebrating what we’ve achieved individually and together. The guest speaker was Calvin May Head of Technical Services at HETAS.
