We regularly attend properties where the roof has started leaking shortly after being pressure washed.
While pressure washing might make your roof look cleaner, it can also cause serious damage if it's not done correctly.
High-pressure water can:
💧 Dislodge or crack roof tiles.
💧 Remove the protective surface from concrete tiles, shortening their lifespan.
💧 Force water underneath the tiles and into the roof space.
💧 Damage velux/solar flashing, ridge mortar and roof membranes.

A roof is designed to shed rainwater flowing down from above—not withstand water being blasted upwards at high pressure.
We removed a pressure-washed roof that had reached the end of its serviceable life. Along with two Velux roof windows that had been installed on a 12.5 degree pitched roof with the minimum specification of installation to be at 15 degrees on those specific windows.
Our team then:
✅ Installed new breathable roofing membrane with new battens.
✅ Fitted new low-pitch roof tiles designed specifically for the roof's angle.
✅ Installed new 12.5 degree low-pitch Velux roof windows to ensure a watertight, manufacturer-compliant finish.
