We're committed to supporting the local community, making a donation of essential resources to Nuneaton Foodbank, part of The Trussell Trust.

With many families across the UK continuing to feel the impact of the cost of living crisis and rising food poverty, organisations such as Nuneaton Foodbank provide an essential lifeline to those in need.

Throughout the duration of our Twycross Zoo project, we will continue making donations to help sustain the foodbank’s vital services and the people who rely on them.

Building confidence through skills 👷‍♀️🔨

Henry Brothers partnered with Women’s Tec to deliver a six-week DIY course designed to equip women with practical construction skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

From learning how to safely use power tools to exploring basic plumbing and electrical work, participants gained hands-on experience while building confidence and trying something new.

Congratulations to everyone who took part and thank you to Women’s Tec for partnering with us on this fantastic initiative.

Planting the seeds for biodiversity awareness 🌱

Our Sustainability and Quality Manager, Hannah Portis, recently visited Milford Primary School to deliver biodiversity learning resources, including a new bird table and bird seed, for pupils to enjoy 🐦

The visit was rounded off with a construction-themed art competition, showcasing fantastic creativity from the pupils and helping inspire the next generation through hands-on learning and environmental awareness.

Supporting future careers in construction 👷

We have been supporting work experience placements across a number of projects, including Arlo, who joined us on the University of Manchester Dover Street build and Luca, who gained hands-on experience at the Wolverhampton Police Station developments.

From developing practical skills to building confidence and contributing to community-focused initiatives, these placements play an important role in helping young people explore careers in construction and take their next steps.

Not long to go until Henry Brothers’ fundraising walk in support of Dementia NI 💙 Join us tomorrow from 10:30am – 1:00pm as we continue supporting meaningful community initiatives throughout our 50th year, with face painting and balloon modelling to make it a fun day for all the family 🎈🎨
