Product Safety Notice Update - 20th April 2026
This is an updated Product Safety Notice concerning certain models of heating system circulating pumps manufactured by Tucson Pumps.
We have identified a safety concern around the mains connection on Tucson-A 5 metre, 6 metre and 8 metre head circulating pumps manufactured by Tucson Pumps between 2012 and 2016. Similarly to a previous Notice, the mains cables on these pumps can be connected in reverse posing a serious risk of electrocution.
This issue has been eliminated on all Tucson manufactured pumps after November 2024.
Affected pumps can be identified using the serial number (S/N) which is included on the product label. Consumers can also check if they have an affected pump by using the Serial Number Checking Tool on the customer support pages of TusconPumps.com which is available here https://tucsonpumps.com/serial-number-checking-tool/
Tucson will arrange for the inspection of installed units of the affected models and the installation of a new fitting between the mains connector and the electrical coupling on the pump motor which will only allow the mains to be connected to the pump with the correct plug orientation.
Consumers that have one of the affected models of pumps installed and the unit is working properly, can continue to safely use their heating systems.
Customers, installers and merchants are urged to:
- Check serial numbers of Tucson circulating pumps installed manufactured before November 2024.
- Contact Tucson Pumps at [email protected] or (01) 842 6255 / +44 800 044 3258
Safety is our top priority, and we appreciate your support in sharing this important information.
