Welcome to AMH Joinery, a small business established in 2003 and run by me, Alex Milton-Haynes. My workshop is based near Machynlleth, but work throughout Powys, Ceredigion, Gwynedd and Shropshire. I provide a friendly, efficient and professional solution to all your construction and maintenance needs. I am an experienced and qualified carpenter and cover all aspects of carpentry such as door/wind

ow fitting, staircase fitting, flooring, skirting, installing kitchens or cupboards and erecting timber framed buildings. Having a joinery workshop means I can make windows, doors and kitchens to your specification. This is a traditional style timber door with a single small pane of high performance double glazing, below is an insulated core, covered with tongue and groove inside and out. Made in an established method with mortice and tenon joinery, with draught proofed frame and aluminium threshold, this door and frame will last for many decades.

One of my heritage sash windows installed today. The softwood window from the early 2000s was severely rotten so a replacement was needed. This is made in accoya for durability, the moulding profiles from original windows in the house were matched, it was painted in linseed paint, fitted with heritage slimline double glazing and concealed seals for draught proofing.
