Hamer Way Architects We are architects, interior designers and site masterplanners based in Cheshire. We use real design and fresh thinking to bring your built project to life.

Hamer Way Architects is a Macclesfield-based architectural practice working across Cheshire on residential, commercial and heritage projects. We help clients unlock the potential of buildings and sites through thoughtful design, planning strategy and technical expertise. Our work includes new homes, extensions, renovations, conversions, listed and historic buildings and commercial developments, with an emphasis on creating distinctive, practical and sustainable architecture that responds positively to its context.

A new chapter for this Prestbury home. Planning Permission approved.

We’re delighted to have secured planning permission for a renovation project that gives existing accommodation a new purpose and creates space for our clients’ changing needs.

The proposals include a new three-bay garage with a guest suite above. The rear of the new building houses a new summer room, and connects to the main house via a contemporary glass link.

By converting the existing garage, the clients can extend their wellness space to enlarge the home gym adjacent to the indoor pool.

With protected trees lining the approach, careful design and a considered planning strategy have been key to moving the project forward.

We’re looking for thoughtful, capable people who care about architecture, enjoy working collaboratively and want to play an active part in a small studio.

We’re especially interested in people who are looking for more than just their next job - people who want to contribute, take ownership and be part of the practice as it grows over the coming years.

We believe in giving people trust and responsibility, and we value the commitment, good judgement and high standards that come with that.

We’re looking for people who are dependable, proactive and comfortable getting involved - whether that means developing a design, speaking with a client, coordinating a consultant or helping move a project forward.

Your experience will naturally look different depending on which role you’re applying for, so we’re not looking for identical CVs or a long checklist of skills required or boxes to tick.

If you’re a Part 2 Architectural Assistant, newly qualified Architect, or Architect with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience, we’d love to hear from you.

A beautiful day for a site visit at our project in Heaton Moor.

There wasn’t a cloud in the sky, and the handmade deep red bricks looked brilliant in the summer sunshine.

The steelwork is now in place and the brickwork is progressing well. It’s great to see this project finally coming together on site.

Swipe right for before!! >>

We’re so excited to be starting on site this week with this full house transformation in Prestbury!

Working alongside the accomplished team at , we’re turning a tired and dated property into something really special.

Inside, we’re reworking the layout to open up the space, with a complete renovation throughout.

Outside the windows will be replaced, the ground floor rear bays will become sliding glazed doors on to the new terrace. The new look will be completed with crisp white render.

The stepped terrace has built-in planters to graduate the height difference between the interior and the sloping garden and glass balustrades make the most of the rear views. It’s the perfect space for entertaining or simply relaxing outside.

It’s been a joy collaborating with our lovely clients so far, and we can’t wait to see this one take shape on site.
