We can offer one off rescue packages for new gardens or gardens in need of tlc or we also offer regularly weekly, biweekly or months packages to support garden lovers with no time, skills or other challenges. Specialist packages include our military march on offers - for those in military housing that may need to reach military standards for march on hand over we offer official invoices with detials of work done and as veterans ourselves we are familar with the standards required to fly through your garden inspection. All gardening services are pet, child and wildlife friendly and where possible also eco-friendly. We take great pride in ensuring our work and methods are safe for all garden users.

Our October seasonal tidy-up is designed to put your beds to bed beautifully, with care and attention for every outdoor space. We can:

Has your garden finally had a proper drink after weeks of drought? 🌧️🌿

The good news is that many brown, tired-looking plants and lawns can bounce back : but gentle care is best for now:

✅ Let the soil soak naturally rather than rushing to prune or feed heavily.
✅ Ease back into watering gradually; avoid flooding dry ground.
✅ Check scorched or stressed plants and give them a light feed when appropriate.
✅ Remove dead leaves and damaged growth so plants can breathe.
✅ Keep checking pots : they can still dry out quickly, even after rain.

A little patience now will help your garden recover steadily as the seasons begin to change. If your outdoor space needs a careful post-drought tidy-up, we’re happy to help.

Are you ready for September in the garden? 🍂

As nights draw in and the rain returns, a little preparation now will help your outdoor space recover from summer and stay ready for autumn.

✅ Tidy borders and cut back spent perennials: but leave a few seedheads for hungry birds.
✅ Clear gutters, drains and grates before autumn rain arrives.
✅ Bring tender plants under cover or move them somewhere sheltered.
✅ Harvest remaining tomatoes, beans, courgettes and other produce.
✅ Plant spring bulbs such as daffodils and crocuses now for colour next year.
✅ Check and clean the greenhouse, removing old leaves and washing the glass.

Is your lawn looking brown and parched after the summer drought? Don’t panic : brown grass is often dormant, not dead. With returning rain and a little patience, your lawn may be ready for a comeback. 🌿

🌧️ Wait until the soil has cooled and had time to moisten before doing too much.

✅ Raise your mower blades and avoid scalping stressed grass.

🍂 Gently rake out excess thatch and clearly dead patches to improve airflow.

🌱 In early September, apply a light feed : avoid overdoing it while the lawn is recovering.

🌾 Once conditions are consistently moist, overseed any genuinely bare patches and keep them gently watered.

Have you noticed more birds visiting your garden as summer begins to fade? 🐦

As berries become scarcer and natural puddles dry up, a little extra support can make a big difference:

🌿 Plant or protect berrying shrubs such as holly, ivy and cotoneaster.
🌾 Leave some seedheads standing : they provide valuable food and shelter.
💧 Keep a shallow dish of fresh, clean water available, especially after a dry summer.
🌻 Offer sunflower hearts, mealworms or suet, but avoid feeding bread.
🍂 Leave some fallen leaves in a quiet corner. The insects beneath them are part of a bird’s natural larder.

Don’t feel you need to tidy every last leaf. A slightly messy corner can be one of the most wildlife-friendly parts of your garden. 🌱

🌿✂️ Been itching to give that hedge a proper haircut? September is nearly here!

From 1st September, we move beyond the main bird-nesting and agricultural hedge-cutting season, making autumn a great time to tackle those hedges that have spent the summer getting a little… enthusiastic! 🌳😂
For homeowners, September can be an ideal time for:
🍃 Cutting back overgrown hedges
✂️ Reducing height and width
🌿 Giving unruly hedges a proper reshape
🏡 Cutting back growth that's starting to take over paths and gardens
🪴 Generally getting things tidy before autumn and winter

But there's still one very important rule: 🐦
Wild birds and their active nests are protected by law. Before cutting any hedge, it's always worth checking carefully for signs of nesting birds. If you find an active nest, that section needs to be left alone until the birds have finished with it.

And what about your neighbour's hedge?
If branches grow across your boundary, you can generally cut them back to the boundary line – but you can't simply wander into your neighbour's garden or cut beyond the boundary without their permission.

Did you know it’s the start of National Allotments Week? This year’s theme is ‘Grow to Learn,’ and we think it’s a brilliant way to get the whole family involved in the garden.

You don't need a massive country estate to start your own veg patch. Why not start small? Giving children their own tiny patch or even just a simple window box is a wonderful way to spark their curiosity.

Colin here! 🌿 Is your garden feeling the heat as much as we are?

As the temperatures rise, our feathered neighbours can find it a real struggle to find fresh water. Setting up a simple water station is one of the kindest (and easiest!) things you can do while pottering in the garden this week.

Here are our top tips for a bird-friendly garden:
💦 Use a shallow dish – a simple plant saucer with a stone in it works perfectly so they don't slip.
🍃 Safe spots – place it near a bush so birds feel safe from any curious cats.
✨ Keep it fresh – change the water daily to keep everyone healthy.

And a quick tip on snacks: please skip the bread! It fills them up with no real nutrition. Offer sunflower hearts or mealworms instead – they'll definitely thank you for it! 🐦
