Pesky rodents 🐭 and stinky droppings.

External boilers are convenient but if not sealed up properly prime warm spot for these critters and I have seen them chew wires and get jammed in the fan, an inconvenience to be avoided 💷💷💷 Grant boilers being most common for it, Worcester boilers are more rodent proof if fitted properly.

As some of you may not know unfortunately a few months ago a young military driver lost control of his car overtaking and ploughed head on into me 🙀 writing the van off 👎🏻 alas I have a new van and finally got some fresh graphics on, which I’m really pleased with.

I forgot to add max has named the van Jimmy 😆

Methodist church was struggling to keep warm over winter so last year replaced the double radiators for triples in the hall area, they were so pleased with the outcome asked me back to do the same in the church area 🔥🔥🔥🔥 will be roasty toasty this winter.

New customer not long moved into there house was told boiler is 20 years old and needs replacing could I quote to replace? Was apparently serviced recently, On arrival could see it wasn’t that old just 12 years old and clearly wasn’t serviced properly the oil hose had 2018 printed on it and needed replacing in 2022 🙈 so serviced the boiler replaced the hose and explained how to use the system most efficiently. Plenty of life left in it! 😅 most firms would just have quoted for new boiler. 💷💷💷💷

Routine service to find bodge job that if was done properly from the start would have saved so much money and more importantly been safe. Boiler was replaced by another firm but didn’t change the flue accordingly resulting in it rotting out to the point it completely disconnected in the wall potentially causing flue gasses to leak into the cavity which I have known of with previous job, and the fumes made there way into the bedroom giving them bad headaches feeing Ill and couldn’t understand why! Flue completely replaced to give peace of mind and safety.

On a 4 year average new oil condensing boilers with radiators is still about half the running costs of air source heat pumps with radiators. Also Half or more the cost of replacement vs air source.

You can argue about installing solar and batteries but then potentially looking at a 20k+ install 🥴 If you end up getting air conditioning aswell that’s going to be a heavy electric bill!

HVO needs to get pushed through parliament much more sensible alternative with less outlay have a look for yourself at Future Ready Fuel. Keep your existing setup and just swap the kerosene to bio fuel.

So we can reduce our less than 1% emissions the uk produces to the world 🫠 somehow I don’t think oil boilers are the issue, what percentage would that contribute too or perhaps we need to stop cows farting or going on holidays in planes 🫢
