Still buzzing from the British Open Fencing Championship 2026. Matt Cooper and I came third and brought home the bronze! 🥉

This was our fifth competition together and our first time on the podium. At the last Open, we came fourth, just two points short of third, so we were determined to go one better this time.

Last time we finished in around 3 hours 20 minutes. This year we were the first team to finish, getting the fence up in 2 hours 46 minutes. We’ve worked hard on the small details, and it’s great to see that effort pay off.

Congratulations to Mark Evans and Nic Quan on first place, and Stuart Miles and Peter Redgwell on second. Well done to everyone who competed, and thanks to McVeigh Parker Farm and Fencing Suppliers for putting on a great event.

It was a cracking day, and Matt and I are already looking forward to the next one!

🎥Live from the Tornado Wire Fencing Competition 2026!

Join us live on Facebook and Instagram from 10:00am for exclusive interviews with competitors, Pete Clark (AFI), Rebecca Galley, CEO of Tornado Wire, and other special guests.

The competition begins at 10:30am, with live commentary throughout the day as professional fencing contractors go head-to-head in this exciting test of skill, precision and efficiency.

Competitors will have three hours to erect approximately 60–70 metres of Tornado high-tensile stock netting, complete with two end straining posts and a slight turn, demonstrating the highest standards of professional fencing.

The Tornado Wire Fencing Competition is all about promoting best practice and showcasing excellence within the industry, and it's a rare opportunity to watch some of the UK's best fencing contractors in action.

Then join us again live from 3:15pm for exclusive coverage of the Awards Ceremony, with the winners announced at 3:30pm, followed by interviews with the judges as they reveal what makes a winning fence.

A Landmark Year for Davis Fencing

As 2025 draws to a close, it’s safe to say it has been our busiest and most rewarding year to date at Davis Fencing.

Across the year, thousands of metres of fencing have been installed across the South and we have undertaken extensive Rhododendron clearance and mulching works. It’s been a year of hard graft, long days, and jobs we can be proud of.

One of the standout achievements of the year was being named Runner-Up for AFI Fencing Contractor of the Year—a real honour and a testament to the hard work, skill and dedication of the entire team.

2025 also marked a major milestone for the business with the purchase of a new farm and yard and the relocation of operations to Wiltshire. This move has strengthened our base, improved logistics, and positioned the company for continued growth.

The year brought with it several “dream jobs”—projects that tested our capabilities, pushed standards higher, and reinforced why we do what we do. Combined with strong demand and consistent delivery, this has resulted in our best year on record.

Looking ahead, we’re heading into the next year motivated, grateful for the support, and ready to keep building on what’s been a cracking year.

We couldn’t do what we do without Jordan and Mikey, and the amazing support of our clients and subcontractors. Thank you all, and we wish you a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year.

It’s been a busy year working all across the South of England — and we’re not slowing down yet!
Jordan and Mike are getting the knockers ready for the next big job over in Wi******er! 🔨

Back doing what we love — pipeline fencing work. This is our second pipeline project of the year, and it’s by far the biggest one we’ve taken on yet.

2024 is over and out, we would like to say big thank you to everyone who has supported us this year, big thank you to the suppliers for sorting everything out! Massive thank you to Jordan and Mike for the help this year! But a even bigger shout out to Jordan who taken on the land clearance side of the business and sat in that skidsteer for a solid 5 months in all weather and ground conditions, up, down and across the country!
