Having completed an apprenticeship in Heating and Plumbing, Andrew served in the British Army as a Royal Engineer & Chantelle worked within the Accounting and Finance industry. From repairing a small leak to complete bathroom refurbishments. From carrying out boiler services to fitting complete heating systems. Andrew quickly discovered his success within the plumbing and heating industry. Hammond

s Bathroom and Heating was incorporated in 2012 & this was just the start of new and exciting things to come. After 7 successful years trading as an LLP the decision was made to register as an LTD, Hammonds Bathroom Heating and Plumbing was created in 2018. Two years on it quickly became apparent that the company name didn't quite fit. HBH still specialising in Heating and plumbing discovered that refurbishments and remodels had moved within different areas of the home. Andrew and his team have successfully carried out all aspects within the Construction Industry over the last few years :-)

🏡 Harpenden Project – Stage 5 of 5: The Final Stage

The final stage of our Harpenden project brings everything together — with extensive works to both the front of the property and the existing garage.

At the front of the house, the works included new windows, a new front door and porchway, replacement brickwork, and the gable ends being bricked up to replace the existing tiled finish. The driveway was also completely transformed, giving the property a fresh and modern exterior.

Inside the garage, we created a brand-new reception/TV room, including new electrics, plastered walls and a complete conversion of the existing space into a comfortable and functional part of the home.

We also added a dedicated bike and bin store, helping to keep everything organised while making the most of the available space.

This final stage has completely transformed the appearance, functionality and kerb appeal of the property – bringing the entire project to a close.

It’s been a fantastic transformation from start to finish, and we’re proud to have delivered another complete project for our clients in Harpenden. 🔨🏡

Continuing our project review series, we're taking you through the next instalment of this Harpenden transformation - and this stage was all about the bathrooms.

Every bathroom and ensuite in the home was fully renovated, with a focus on quality fittings, considered layouts, and a consistent style that ties the whole house together. From family bathrooms to more compact ensuites, each space was designed to make the most of its footprint while feeling calm, functional, and finished to a high standard.

🏡 Harpenden Project - Stage 2 of 5: The Loft Conversion

We're back with the second instalment of our project review series, taking you through a transformation we completed in Harpenden. Following on from Stage 1's library and kitchen renovation, this stage saw us head upstairs for a full loft conversion.

Our clients needed more functional space without extending the footprint of the house, so we converted the loft into a bright, versatile area upstairs. The centrepiece is a new home office - a quiet, dedicated space away from the rest of the household, ideal for remote working. Alongside this, we added a toilet to the loft level, making the new space fully self-contained and practical for everyday use.

As with Stage 1, this part of the project shows how thoughtful design can unlock space that's already there, this time by looking up rather than out.

🏡 Harpenden Project - Stage 1 of 5: The Library and Kitchen Area

We're pleased to share the first instalment of a project review series, taking you through a transformation we completed in Harpenden. Across five stages, we'll be showcasing the full journey of this home - starting with a stage we're particularly proud of: the creation of a new library.

Our clients had a generously sized utility room that wasn't being used to its full potential. Our solution was to halve its footprint and use the reclaimed space to create a light-filled library at the front of the house, complete with floor-to-ceiling shelving and a dedicated reading area. The utility room continues to function perfectly well within its new, more considered layout.

This stage also included a full kitchen renovation, designed with clean lines and quality finishes throughout. The result is a space built around how the family truly lives - practical for everyday use, yet well suited to entertaining.

This project is a good reminder that renovation isn't always about adding space - often, it's about making better use of what's already there.
