Another successful installation completed by the BASTEK Services team, working on behalf of one of our long-standing clients.

Previously, this residential development had an open entrance, allowing unrestricted vehicle and pedestrian access.

The objective was simple: prevent unauthorised access, discourage unwanted visitors and give residents greater peace of mind.

To achieve this, we supplied and installed:

✅ Automated vehicle gates – providing controlled access to the residential area.

✅ Manual pedestrian gate – allowing authorised pedestrian access.

✅ Matching infill fencing – securing the gaps and completing the perimeter.

✅ CAME gate automation with BUS accessories – for reliable operation and integrated safety.

✅ Optex vehicle free-exit sensor – allowing vehicles to exit automatically.

✅ Intratone intercom and access control – enabling controlled entry for residents and visitors.

The result? A more secure, controlled entrance that helps keep unwanted visitors out while maintaining convenient access for residents and authorised guests.

🚪 **Before & After – Automatic Swing Door Upgrade!**

Another successful door automation upgrade completed by the BASTEK Services team!

We've recently upgraded two sets of automatic swing doors, replacing the existing equipment with:

✅ **FACE SW70S automatic door operators**
✅ **Hotron monitored safety sensors**
✅ Installation, setup and commissioning

The new equipment provides reliable operation, improved safety monitoring and a more modern solution for everyday use.

⚽ Supporting local grassroots football

As a small, family-run business, we know how important local support can be.

This season, BASTEK Services is pleased to be sponsoring a local youth football team and helping towards their new match kit – with the BASTEK name now proudly on the front of the shirts.

Grassroots clubs rely heavily on volunteers, parents, coaches and local businesses to keep things going and give young people the opportunity to train, compete and be part of a team.

We're only a small business ourselves, but it's nice to be in a position where we can put something back into the local community that supports us.

Car park barrier fault diagnosed and repaired — same day ✅

A local customer contacted us after experiencing ongoing problems with their car park barrier.

Their usual service provider is based in the Midlands, meaning they can sometimes wait weeks for an engineer to attend. They had also been advised that the barrier’s safety device needed replacing, with a repair cost quoted at over £1,000.

We attended the same day and carried out our own fault-finding.

The safety device itself wasn’t faulty.

The actual problem was a failed power supply feeding the safety equipment.

Once correctly diagnosed, we were able to repair the barrier during the same attendance — at a fraction of the previously quoted cost.

The customer was understandably very pleased with the quick response and, most importantly, an honest diagnosis.

Preparation is everything on bigger gate projects. 👷‍♂️

A lot of the work on a project like this happens before the gate even arrives on site.

For this installation, the foundation concrete blocks and underground ducts were prepared in advance to precise drawings and measurements.

That planning paid off — once the gate arrived, the mechanical installation was completed within just a few hours.

Next stage is wiring, safety equipment, setup and final commissioning.

Good preparation means:

✅ Less time on site
✅ Less disruption for the customer
✅ Fewer unexpected problems
✅ A smoother and more efficient installation

Another great example of why careful planning is such an important part of larger gate automation projects.

Work in progress 👀

Another aluminium sliding gate installation taking shape, supplied and installed by the BASTEK Services Team, with the gate manufactured by Aligates Aluminium Gates.

What makes this installation a little different is what you don’t see.

Instead of a conventional sliding gate motor mounted alongside the gate, we’ve used a Roger Technology “naked” motor, concealed neatly inside the gate post.

This gives the installation a much cleaner finish, with the automation largely hidden from view.

The system also includes an Akuvox intercom, providing convenient and modern visitor access.
