• Ardhuncart Lodge

We completed the stunning restoration of this fishing lodge built in 1901 on the banks of the River Don, near Alford in Aberdeenshire.

When we arrived on site the house was in a dilapidated state with rot, structural issues and in generally poor condition.

The clients vision, as a keen fisherman, was to bring the lodge back to its former glory and to be a base for entertaining and fishing the river.

Working with the client, and , the vision has been achieved without a doubt.

Projects such as this is where we come into our own, having the in-house capability to recreate the solid oak panelling, manufacture bespoke internal doors to suit existing door sizes, manufacturing factory finished new sash and case windows and bespoke finishes throughout the property.
All of this whilst being Main Contractor and all trades being our responsibility.

Other features in the build are sanitary ware, kitchen by and the bar by .

A magnificent project which we are all proud of and glad it has led to other projects within the Ardhuncart Estate.

As the doors close on 2025, its been another excellent year for the business.

We want to thank all of our team, subcontractors and suppliers for their hard work this year.

And our clients for trusting us to deliver their projects.

Looking forward to 2026 with some very exciting projects secured!

Last Friday we all met at the workshop to wish a very happy retirement to our Workshop Manager, Brian Campbell.

Brian started his joinery apprenticeship 50 years ago to the day and joined Brudon 9 years ago from CHAP Group Limited, where he spent over 25 years, to run our growing joinery workshop.

From humble beginnings starting his joinery journey on a roof in Banchory to being our CNC machine operator, something which he never thought would happen.

Brian will be a huge loss to our team and has been a massive part in the success of Brudon to date.
His parting gift to Brudon has been to take one of the young team under his wing and to teach Bryn how to operate the CNC so we have continuity in-house.

A huge thank you and a very happy and well deserved retirement to Brian for his service not just to Brudon but to the local construction industry.

Delighted to complete this 300m2 5 bedroom house for a returning client.

With the frontage of a traditional farmhouse using imported granite and the large open plan rear part of the house is the showstopper with views to Bennachie.

As always the client was great to deal and were looking forward to the next project with them!

We are looking for a experienced Timber Frame Designer to work for a privately-owned construction and manufacturing company to head up our design department

As Timber Frame Designer, you will be: Involved in projects from design through to delivery and installation. Liaising with clients, ensuring you are delivering excellent quality and customer service acting as the key design contact for specific clients and projects design detailing, ensuring safety and build ability for project are maximised.

As Timber Frame Designer you will be able to demonstrate to following:

Experience in a technical department, understanding principles of Timber Frame Construction.
Proven technical knowledge of current Building Regulations and relevant standards Excellent customer service, taking a proactive ownership of any issues
Assist in general day to day running of the design office
Prepare material schedules
Strong communication skills: verbal and written

COVID-19 Update

In light of the governments recent advice we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close down with immediate effect until further notice.
