New drought support for farmers

The Government has announced new support to help farmers manage the impact of prolonged dry weather and build resilience for the future.

So, what could this mean for farmers here in Lincolnshire?

We’ve picked out the key points, including ELM flexibility, SFI26 funding, water management grants and abstraction.

It’s going to be a great day! 🐏

Final catalogue now available for Partney Fair held at Louth Livestock Market tomorrow! 📒

Featuring 1,700+ MV and Non-MV Accredited Breeding Sheep and Store Lambs.

We are delighted to be joined by Lakings of Louth and The Tipsy Nag for refreshments throughout the day.

A thank you also goes to our sponsors, Mart’s the Heart and to our judges, Mr Morgan Baker of Boston, who will be judging the Store Lambs and Mr Andrew Read of Horncastle, who will judge the remaining classes.

⏰The market will be open from 6.30am and early arrival will be appreciated to help ensure the day runs smoothly.

🎖Judging will commence at 10.30am - so vendors are asked to get their stock to market as early as possible to allow judging to start promptly.

✨The sale will then start at 12 noon prompt, with MV breeding sheep followed by Non-MV breeding sheep and then Store Lambs.

We are still accepting entries, including on the day, although entries will unfortunately not be featured in the catalogue.

It is shaping up to be a great day and we look forward to welcoming vendors, buyers and visitors to Partney Fair 2026.
