We are currently recruiting SELF-EMPLOYED contractors to join our Steel Fixers team on the HS2 project site in Loughborough.

Duties:

* Assemble and erect the steel components required to strengthen reinforced concrete structures.
* Position, assemble, and fix different shapes and sizes of steel rebar with the correct specifications and tolerances.
* Interpret contract information, drawings, and specifications in order to assemble and install the components correctly.
* Ensure health and safety is upheld around the site.
* Collaborate with other construction workers to complete projects on time.

Requirements:

* Experience working as a steel fixer or in a similar construction role- however, full training will be provided.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Welding skills for joining steel components- will be an addition but is not a must!!

Job Type: Full-time, Freelance

Salary: From £14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
Day shift: Monday to Friday
