This space was looking tired and untidy, so we cleared the existing area and completely transformed it with fresh granite chippings, creating a much cleaner, smarter and more practical finish.

🌱 𝐀𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧! 🌱
Here's a look at a recent turfing project we completed, and what a difference it's made!
This garden presented us with a bit of a challenge, with the existing ground on an uneven slope. Rather than simply laying turf over the existing surface, we completely removed the old grass and weeds and brought in fresh topsoil to reshape the area.
We created a new, flat and much more usable lawn area, with a gradual slope running down towards the existing patio. Once the ground was properly prepared and levelled, we laid fresh turf to finish the transformation. 🌿
We're really pleased with how this one turned out, and it's a great example of how much difference careful ground preparation can make to the finished result.

🌱 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐧?
Now is an ideal time to have new turf laid, with the conditions from now through to the end of October generally providing a good opportunity for establishing a new lawn.
And for anyone concerned about watering newly laid turf during hosepipe restrictions, it's worth knowing that South West Water's current guidance specifically lists turf laid within the previous 28 days as an exception where restrictions apply.

🌱 A fresh new lawn, despite an unexpected challenge! 🌱

Here's a turfing job we completed this week that we're really pleased with.
Unfortunately, when we arrived, the scaffolding that had been erected around the property was still in place. It had been due to come down the day before, but plans changed. With the new turf already delivered and ready to be laid, postponing the job wasn't an option, as turf is a perishable product and is best laid as soon as possible.
Rather than delay the project, we adapted our approach and laid the new lawn around the scaffolding supports. We carefully cut and kept the remaining pieces, leaving them with the homeowner so they can be fitted into the final gaps once the scaffolding has been removed.
Every job is different, and sometimes unexpected situations arise. We always aim to find the most practical solution while keeping our customers informed every step of the way.
Despite the circumstances, we're really pleased with how the lawn has turned out, and we'd like to thank the homeowner for being so understanding throughout.
