FORESTRY OPERATIVE REQUIRED

We still have a full time position available to operate one of our 15 ton machines with harvesting shear head. Most of this work will be first thinnings and clear fell for biomass.

The majority of our work is around Cumbria, Scottish Borders and Northumberland.

The ideal candidate would have the relevant FMOC certification and EFAW + F be experienced in harvesting or tree shearing.

You would also be expected to be able to look after your machine and maintain it (be able to change a pipe and check its oil etc).

If you’re the type of person that thinks grease is for another day when it’s not raining please just keep scrolling.

Must take pride in their work, the appearance of the company and work to clients requests and standards. Good rates offered to the right candidate, the position is on an hourly basis and paid monthly.

🌲Experienced Forwarder Driver Wanted

We are looking for a motivated and skilled operator to work across a range of forestry sites throughout Lancashire, Cumbria and Yorkshire on whole tree biomass and brash recovery.

Much of our work is in remote locations, so experience in working alone or as part of a team in great outdoors is an advantage.

The ideal candidate will hold the relevant FMO forwarder certification, tracked base machine over 2.5t and EFAW+F

What we are looking for in an ideal candidate:

•Willing to work to the Treeclear standard, taking pride in the work they do.
•Have basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to look after and maintain machinery.
•Have an understanding of the industry, able to take instructions from others and use your own initiative when required.
•Be polite, respectful and helpful when engaging with clients.
•Be able to make practical decisions when needed.
•Stay focused on the job and deliver what is required on each site.
•Willing to travel or work away from home

We can offer a 50-hour working week with more on request.
Good rates of pay
