High energy bills and uncertainty about where to start with solar — sound familiar?

In Volume 2 of Your Problem, Our Solution, our customer wanted to prepare his new-build home for the future while keeping the investment cost sensible.

We installed:

☀️ 18 × 460W AIKO solar panels, providing 8.28kWp of solar capacity.
⚡ A 6kW FoxESS H1 Series hybrid inverter.
🔋 Two FoxESS EP12 Plus batteries, providing 23.04kWh of combined storage capacity.

The panels generate electricity during daylight hours, while the batteries store surplus generation for use later. Integrated monitoring helps the customer see how the system is performing and how electricity is being used.

The project calculations estimated £1,381 in annual energy bill savings and £39,870 in net savings over the assumed system lifetime.*

Join us for a moment of remembrance tonight at 7pm. 🕯️

The Wave of Light marks the close of Baby Loss Awareness Week, bringing people around the world together to remember babies gone too soon and support bereaved families.

As supporters of Sands, our chosen charity, we’re inviting our community to take part by lighting a candle at 7pm and leaving it burning safely for at least one hour.

You can join privately, with family or friends, or share a photograph of your candle using if that feels right for you. There is no expectation to share your personal experience.

For anyone affected by pregnancy or baby loss, we hope this moment brings a sense of connection and reminds you that your baby is remembered.

Seen the recent headlines about electricity supply? Here’s what they mean for homeowners. 👀

The National Energy System Operator issued an electricity margin notice, asking generators to make additional capacity available. This helps maintain a larger safety buffer between expected electricity demand and available supply.

The notice itself is not a prediction of power cuts. However, it does highlight why generating some of your own electricity can be worth considering.

With solar panels, your home can use electricity generated on your roof during daylight hours. Adding battery storage allows surplus solar electricity to be saved for later, including the evening when your panels are no longer generating.

That can mean buying less electricity from the grid and making better use of the energy your system produces.

Solar generation varies with daylight and the seasons, so the right design matters. Power-cut backup also requires a compatible system and appropriate installation.

Baby Loss Awareness Week takes place from 9–15 October. It creates space for remembrance, raises awareness and helps people understand where they can turn for support.

Sands - baby loss charity is LJM Solutions’ chosen charity. Its work supports bereaved families and helps people navigate experiences that can feel incredibly isolating.

You don’t need to have the perfect words to support someone. Listening without judgement, acknowledging their loss and remembering their baby can make a meaningful difference.

The problem: This customer was facing rising energy bills, planning to get an electric car and wanted to become more self-sufficient — but wasn’t sure where to start.

Our solution: We installed 22 AIKO solar panels, a 6kW EcoFlow inverter, two 5kW EcoFlow batteries and an EcoFlow EV charger. Together, the system lets the customer generate solar electricity, store some for later and charge their car, with their energy use easy to monitor.
