💥LEAKING FOR 4 YEARS💥
This roof has been leaking for 4 years and after numerous callouts from untold so-called “Roofers” none of them could diagnose the leak or sort the problem.
PV Roofing attended and within 30 MINUTES we had diagnosed the cause of the issue and solved the ongoing problem for the customer.
Very poor previous workmanship.
The lead soakers we’re not installed correctly.
The previous “roofers” created a lead gully between the slates and the wall with the soakers instead of installing the soakers correctly on top of each slate one or another all the way to the top creating a water type seal.
But no……
They had laid lead soakers underneath each slate serving no watertight purpose at all, as the water ran down their gully, behind the slates and down onto the felt eventually leaking inside the property though an extractor fan pipe opening in the roof.
It could be the smallest minor detail or something that is overlooked but too many people call themselves “roofers” but don’t want to get the ladder off the van lift a tile or actually diagnose properly where the issue is coming from.
Too many people wacking some flashband over things or slapping some cement or silicone on it.
If you take some time, effort and pride in what you are doing, the next time you come up against something tricky or confusing you will smash through it with no trouble at all.
