We’re proud to share another recently completed stage of our work at **159 High Street, Harrow** — a six-storey development where BAS Frames designed, supplied and installed the complete **SFS infill package**.

Working closely with **Greenvista Developments** and **Frameclad**, our team coordinated the design, procurement, material supply and installation across all six storeys.

Our project in High Wycombe has been officially signed off by Frameclad Limited — and we're incredibly proud to have passed with distinction! 🏆

This one was special for us. It was one of our panellised SFS projects, and the end result really speaks for itself.

A massive thank you to our brilliant team on site for their hard work, commitment and attention to detail from start to finish. 👏

🏗️ Project Spotlight: Study Inn, Bristol

How do you add a whole new storey to a building on one of Bristol's busiest high streets — without closing the road once during the week?

That was the challenge at South Plaza, Marlborough Street, where we delivered a single-storey rooftop extension using light gauge steel framing (SFS) for main contractor Dako Construction Ltd.

✅ Lightweight stick-build steel frame — no strengthening of the existing structure required ✅ CP boards across the external walls for moisture resistance and fire performance ✅ Every crane lift scheduled at weekends — zero weekday street closures, no permit fees, no traffic management costs, no risk of refused closure dates ✅ Completed in just 3 weeks, on schedule

The cost saving went to the client. The inconvenience stayed with us — and that's exactly how we like it.

A pitched roof — built entirely in steel. 🏗️

Throwback to Block B, Grays Place, Slough: 5 storeys of SFS and structural steel, topped by a stick-built steel pitched roof where every dormer window was set out and formed individually. No standard units — and unlike timber, a steel dormer has to be right first time.

And the part main contractors like most: the whole building went up with a telehandler alone. No tower crane, no mobile crane, no street closures. That saving went straight to the project budget.

Project Spotlight — 56 Chatfield Road, Wandsworth SW11

A look back at one of the projects we're proud to have delivered.

The brief from Landmark Estates was a demanding one: add four new storeys to an existing riverside building on the Thames — without rebuilding foundations that were designed for a smaller structure.

Our solution was a light gauge steel frame using the Frameclad system, engineered to carry the significantly increased structural loads and wind forces of a vertical extension. From start to finish, the project was completed in just 10 weeks.

What made this project a strong example of how we work wasn't only the build itself — it was the problem-solving along the way:

The architectural drawings we received were incomplete, referencing manufacturer standards rather than project-specific details. We filled the gaps using our deep familiarity with the Frameclad system.

On our very first site visit, we identified a scaffold tie clash with the structural steel encasement — a problem that would have caused costly delays and rework had it been found mid-installation.

When communication between the architect and steel supplier stalled, our team personally measured every floor and produced the cutting lists ourselves, at no extra cost, to keep the project moving.

The outcome was on-time delivery, costs avoided through early problem detection, and seamless coordination from start to finish.

🏗️ **Project Showcase | Albany Court, London**

We're proud to present the successful completion of **Albany Court**, a challenging rooftop extension delivered using our **Steel Frame Systems (SFS) Stick-Build** solution.

This project involved the construction of **six new residential flats** above an occupied building, where careful planning, precision, and close collaboration were essential from day one.

Despite restricted site access, a narrow residential street, and the need to coordinate every material delivery to Level 5, our team completed the project safely and efficiently without disrupting the residents below.

One of the most technically demanding aspects was the bespoke multi-level roof structure, incorporating custom steel dormer windows and three stepped roof levels. Working closely with the design consultants, our site team successfully resolved complex design challenges throughout the build while maintaining programme and quality.

Projects like Albany Court demonstrate what can be achieved through expert planning, skilled workmanship, and strong collaboration.

🚧 Project Spotlight: Cross Keys Rooftop Extension 🏗️

We're proud to showcase one of our most technically demanding projects to date – the Cross Keys rooftop extension in Edmonton.

Working with Forts Group, BAS Frames successfully delivered a steel frame structure for 8 new flats above an occupied six-storey residential building. This bespoke project featured:
✅ A complex tiered roof design
✅ Precision-cut steel joists tailored to unique angles
✅ Manual installation of joists up to 6 metres long
✅ Construction carried out while residents remained in the building below
