Studio Colwyn Foulkes has secured conditional planning permission for a new 5★ hotel and country club in the Surrey Hills 🌿

81 suites, £40m investment, zero-carbon ready, set within a secluded 170-acre landscape.

Guest facilities will include a spa, gym, speciality restaurants, swimming pools, wild swimming, tennis, padel, equestrian facilities, and a range of countryside leisure activities.

This in-person event will explore the life and architecture of north Wales architect S Colwyn Foulkes. The morning will start at the Conwy Archives with a talk by Adam Voelcker, author of the recent UWP publication ‘Sidney Colwyn Foulkes: The Architecture of a Reluctant Modernist’. There will also be the opportunity to see a range of original SCF material from the archive collections.

This will be followed by a mini-bus and walking tour of some of SCF’s finest buildings around Conwy, Llandudno Junction, and Colwyn Bay led by Adam.
