We work with passion in the fields of garden design and landscaping. From small city gardens to larger countryside estates.

From its London base the Stefano Marinaz Landscape Architecture studio works alongside international architects and designers on projects ranging from small private gardens to larger landscapes, historical restorations and installations for garden festivals. Stefano believes that green spaces can both improve the quality of life and foster deeper connections with nature. The Studio’s mission is to

create naturalistic gardens that enhance the spirit of place, taking inspiration from the past, from their context and the ecology of the site. An expert plantsman, Stefano draws on a rich palette for his planting plans, personally supervising soil preparation and planting, and offering an on going maintenance service. Local craftsmanship and vernacular materials are key to making each garden unique and very special. Great attention is paid to the quality of design and construction details. Stefano Marinaz Studio is proud to be a Kew Patron, actively supporting the work of the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew.

Future Plants Landscape: A Botanical Innovation Hub – Lisse, The Netherlands 🇳🇱🌿

The recognition for Future Plants is especially meaningful as it celebrates the strength of collaboration. We would like to acknowledge the vision of the owners, Gerrit and Hein, for bringing together an exceptional team. Their initiative led to a design collaboration with Piet Oudolf , who provided the initial sketch, our design studio, developed the layout further and master planning, and Deltavormgroep bv , who oversaw the contractor and the implementation on site. It has been a privilege to contribute to this remarkable project.
Congratulations to all the participants and fellow winners of the PPA Awards 2026. It is inspiring to see so many projects promoting beautiful, sustainable and biodiverse landscapes. Together, they demonstrate the positive impact that thoughtful landscape design can have on people and nature.

New shots of our garden in South Korea 🇰🇷🌿 designed for the Horticultural-Healing Expo in Taean in May 2026.

Rinascita — meaning rebirth in Italian — explores how a healthy future can emerge from nature through care, patience, and regeneration.
Italian landscapes are palimpsests, where Roman ruins, agricultural terraces, and contemporary life coexist in layers. The dark angular stones of the main path scatter and dissolve into grey silica sand — a built form quietly reclaimed by nature, symbolising destruction transformed into fertile ground from which new life emerges.

The garden unfolds as a sequence rather than a destination, guiding visitors through moments of compression and openness, shade and sun, inviting mindful walking and quiet reflection. Planting dominates over sixty percent of the composition, expressing that healing requires not only activity, but also rest and retreat.

A garden of sequences and seasons in Surrey this summer. ☀️🌿

Designed as a journey through three connected spaces, this landscape blends naturalistic planting, winding slate paths, a wildflower meadow, a small orchard, and a productive kitchen garden. Rich biodiversity, seasonal beauty, and simple natural materials create an immersive space that feels deeply connected to nature inviting slower moments outdoors all year round.
