We’re hiring.

Watershedd is looking for an experienced Project Architect to join our growing architecture and interior design studio in West London.

We’re a small, design led team specialising in high end residential projects, from bespoke new build homes to extensive refurbishments across London, Cornwall and the wider UK.

We’re looking for someone with a strong design sensibility and proven experience delivering high quality residential projects through technical design and construction. You’ll take an active role leading projects, working directly with clients, consultants and contractors, while remaining closely involved in the design and detailing of the work.

As a small studio, everyone plays an important part in shaping our projects and our wider studio culture. We’re interested in architecture, interiors, furniture, art, travel and the landscapes and places in which we work, and we want to create a collaborative, creative and enjoyable place to work.

The role is full time and based in our West London studio, with occasional travel to projects around the UK, particularly Cornwall and the South West.

If you’d like to join us, apply through Dezeen or send Portfolio & CV to [email protected]

Who Are We?

We’re more than architects — we’re a collective of design-focused creatives who love to imagine, craft, and shape spaces that matter. As founders, designers, and makers, our passion lies in creating environments that go beyond aesthetics — places where memories with family and friends unfold, and where life and experiences happen.

For us, architecture is not just about buildings; it’s about connection, emotion, and the joy of living well in the world around us.

A home shaped by its setting.

Nestled amongst mature trees and layered planting, this new home in Guildford is designed to feel quietly rooted within the landscape. Natural buff stone and warm timber bring a softness to the architecture, while deep openings and sheltered terraces create a close connection between the house and garden.

Surrounded by greenery and just a short walk from the river, it’s a calm, contemporary take on countryside living.

Watershedd is about more than architecture and design.

It’s about how a space makes you feel. How you live in it. And the moments that happen when everything else slows down.

Long lunches that turn into evenings. Great food around the table. Family, friends and nowhere else to be.

Slow jazz playing in the background. Good conversation. A favourite drink. Time to unwind.

Because ultimately, a beautiful home isn’t just something to look at.

It’s a place to live well.

The small things. The good things. The moments that matter.

This is the Watershedd lifestyle.

The most dramatic homes don’t always reveal themselves at first glance.

From the roadside, this new home in Saunton is intentionally understated. Appearing as a discreet, single storey pavilion, the timber clad volume sits quietly within the landscape, its softened curved corners and green roof helping it settle into its surroundings.

Deep chamfered window reveals blur the distinction between glazing and cladding, while vertical timber fins extend across selected openings to provide privacy from the approach and gently conceal the spaces beyond. The result is a façade that changes throughout the day as light, shadow and transparency shift across the elevation.

Only a glimpse of the stone plinth below hints at what lies beyond. As you step inside, the house unfolds dramatically down the hillside, revealing three levels of living spaces opening towards uninterrupted views across Saunton’s beach and sweeping sand dunes.

Architecture that values restraint on arrival, allowing the landscape and the experience of discovery to take centre stage.

A new home in development in Guildford, Surrey.

Designed as a contemporary interpretation of the country farmhouse, the entrance approach is defined by natural buff stone, vaulted ceilings and warm timber detailing. Beyond, a more strikingly modern timber-clad form projects into the landscape, framing views across the river and surrounding countryside.

A modestly elegant home, thoughtfully designed for our wonderful clients.

Two bathrooms, one bold vision. Saffron zellige glowing like burnished gold, cobalt blue so deep you could dive in. Every tile handmade, every finish considered. This is the kind of detail that turns a bathroom into a room you never want to leave.

Colour drenched.

Natural lime rendered stone walls colour drenched in red clay tone. Large metal framed doors open the room out to the terrace, creating a sheltered health suite. A place to relax, re-energise and re-invigorate.
