In a park in London, they have had a few problems with water getting into the base of the metal railings creating rust and then the rust breaking the stone from within.
So first job, chop out all the broken stone, then remove the rust. Put a rust treatment on the metal. Resin in the base of the railing. Then resin in a stainless steel bar across the stone repair. Mix a strong stone dust mix for backing out the repair. Lastly mix a finishing fine stone dust mix for the finish. Also had an end of a wall to repair. Happy park, job jobbed 👍
