A completed residential refurbishment and wraparound extension, focused on improving spatial clarity and strengthening the connection between house and garden.

The project reworks the ground floor to create a more cohesive living environment, supported by a carefully considered internal layout and a restrained architectural approach throughout.

A calm, functional home designed around modern family life.

Scaffold down. Facade revealed.

There is a moment on every project when the building stops looking like a construction site and starts looking like a home. At Wimbledon Village, that moment is arriving.

Below ground, the basement level is fully watertight. Bespoke roof lights are in, positioned to bring natural daylight directly into the pool and spa spaces below the future landscaped garden. Above, kitchen cabinetry is going in under protection as the fit-out sequence continues floor by floor.

The approach is deliberate: complete top-down, progressively closing out each level. At second floor, finish decorations are well underway.

A lot of careful sequencing has brought this to where it is. The next few weeks will see it come together quickly.

We're looking for a Project Architect.

Studio80|six is hiring a Project Architect / Technologist to join our South Kensington studio.

We work across high-end residential projects in London and beyond. Our work spans large single dwellings, significant extensions and alterations, and multi-unit developments. The role covers the full RIBA Plan of Work, from concept through construction delivery.

We're looking for someone who is technically confident, client-facing, and comfortable running projects independently.

What we're looking for:
- ARB registered, with a minimum of 5 years' UK post-qualification experience
- Strong across all RIBA work stages
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experienced with JCT contracts and UK planning policy
- Prime residential experience preferred

Black and white, then colour - revealing the shift from existing structure to a more refined architectural expression.

The completed scheme is defined by balance and restraint. Openings are carefully proportioned, materials are used consistently, and light is allowed to move cleanly through the space.

The wraparound extension strengthens the relationship to the garden, while the internal reconfiguration creates a calm, cohesive sequence of rooms.

A project shaped less by gesture, and more by control - where the architecture is felt in the clarity of space, material and light.

It demands creativity, but it’s ultimately governed by constraint - structure, context, budget, programme. The challenge is not just to design, but to resolve.

The most successful projects rarely come from singular moments of inspiration. They emerge through iteration, testing, and careful judgement - refining an idea until it feels both inevitable and robust.

Where temporary works meet permanent structure.

Steelwork installation is underway at ground floor level, while mansard formation continues above retained façades supported by temporary works.

At basement level, waterproofing membranes are being installed as part of the controlled drainage strategy.

A technically demanding stage of the programme, delivered in collaboration with LTS Refurbishment Ltd, Form Engineers, Mantis Energy Ltd, and Goddard Consulting.
