Safety First – Before the Installation Even Begins

At 360 Home Security, installing CCTV cameras isn't just about getting the best camera position and a great picture. Before anybody goes up a ladder, safety comes first.

When we're working outside, the ground isn't always perfectly level. We regularly come across artificial grass, paving, gravel, rubble and other uneven or potentially slippery surfaces.

That's why we carry heavy-duty anti-slip rubber ladder stabilisation mats as part of our equipment.

These mats can help provide a more stable, secure surface beneath the ladder where appropriate, particularly where the existing surface may be uneven or slippery. But the equipment is only one part of working safely.

Where a second person is footing the ladder, their job is simple: concentrate on the ladder and the person working above. No mobile phone, no unnecessary distractions and no walking away while somebody is working at height.

Before starting work we check the ground conditions, ladder position and stability. If we aren't satisfied that the ladder can be positioned and used safely, we don't simply carry on for the sake of getting the job finished.

A camera installation can wait. Safety can't.

It's a small part of an installation that customers may never really notice, but it's an important part of the way we work.

KLEAR 180° PANORAMIC IP AI CCTV — SEE MORE. PROTECT MORE.

When it comes to protecting your home, better coverage doesn’t always mean more cameras.

Our KLEAR 180° Panoramic IP AI Camera has become one of the most successful premium CCTV solutions we install at 360 Home Security — and it’s easy to see why.

With its ultra-wide 180-degree panoramic field of view, a single professionally positioned camera can, in many properties, provide the coverage that would traditionally require multiple cameras.

The objective is simple: maximum useful coverage, fewer blind spots and a cleaner installation.

🏠 ONE CAMERA. AN INCREDIBLE FIELD OF VIEW.

Every property is different, which is why camera positioning is carefully assessed before installation. Our priority is to achieve the best practical view of your driveway, entrance, garden, access points and property boundaries.

Where a camera's wide field of view also captures neighbouring or unrelated private areas, we can configure privacy masking where appropriate, helping ensure the system is focused on the areas that matter to you.

🌙 DAY OR NIGHT — STAY CONNECTED

The KLEAR 180° isn't simply about recording what happens.

Depending on the configuration, its advanced features include:

• 180° panoramic coverage
• IP network technology
• AI-assisted human and vehicle detection
• Full-colour nighttime imaging
• Two-way audio
• Built-in audible warning/siren functionality
• Red and blue active-deterrence strobe lights
• Remote viewing and notifications through your smartphone

So when something happens around your property, you're not limited to simply reviewing footage afterwards. Your CCTV system can provide intelligent detection, alerts and active deterrence features designed to help you stay informed and in control.

🚨 CCTV SHOULD DO MORE THAN JUST RECORD

A visible professional CCTV system can itself be an important deterrent. Add intelligent detection, two-way communication, audible warnings and highly visible flashing deterrence lights, and you have a security system designed to make an unwanted visitor think twice.

And when darkness falls, the system doesn't simply become a black-and-white camera.

Its colour nighttime imaging helps retain valuable visual detail, giving you a clearer picture of what's happening around your property day or night.

At 360 Home Security, we don't believe in installing cameras simply for the sake of increasing the camera count.

We assess the property, consider the viewing angles and position the equipment to achieve the right coverage in the right places.

Because ultimately, it's not about how many cameras you have.

It's about what those cameras can actually see.

180° coverage. Smarter deterrence. Stronger peace of mind.

Following the theft of our client’s vehicle, we installed a stronger, AI-enabled CCTV solution designed around the areas that matter most.

This installation includes two KLEAR 180° panoramic IP cameras, giving wide and clear front-and-rear coverage of the driveway, doors, windows, patio and garden. A KLEAR View 2 camera was mounted at high level to see over the fencing and cover the two sheds—something a mid-level installation simply could not achieve.

With the appropriate neighbour permissions in place, the front camera also provides a responsible wider view of the property approach and nearby road. Being close to a school, clear recorded evidence can be extremely valuable should an incident ever occur.

AI trip-line zones have been set around the driveway and protected areas, providing instant alerts when activity is detected. The built-in strobe lights and 115 dB alarm add another strong layer of deterrence.

A properly designed CCTV system is not just about cameras—it is about clear coverage, early warning and protecting what matters.

A small detail makes a big difference.

When we drill cable entry holes, we do not simply fill them with a quick bit of silicone and move on.

At 360 Home Security, every entry hole is drilled at the correct angle to help prevent water travelling back inside. We then seal both sides with quality silicone mastic for added weather resistance.

To finish it properly, we fit a neat external cable-entry cap outside and a clean white brush plate inside—making sure everything is square, level and professionally presented.

It takes extra time, but it protects the property, keeps the installation tidy, and delivers the A1 finish our customers expect.

LOOKING FOR A VEHICLE SIGNAGE / GRAPHICS COMPANY

Hi everyone, I’m looking for someone who can design, manufacture and fit rear-window signage similar to the example pictured for my Ford Ranger.

Ideally looking for someone based in East London, although I’m happy to travel into North London for the right company/person.

I’d also appreciate an idea of the average cost for designing, producing and fitting something like this.

If you do this type of work, or can recommend someone reliable, please drop me a message with examples of previous work and an approximate price.

Many thanks,
Raj – 360 Home Security

When CCTV Is There… But Is It Working?

This morning I attended a site survey for an existing customer in Newham where we previously installed CCTV at the front of their home.

The family has experienced ongoing issues over several years, including damage around their vehicles and incidents affecting a storage building at the rear of their property.

After installing CCTV at the front of the home, the customer tells us that incidents around their vehicles have reduced. Whether that's directly because of the cameras is impossible for us to say — but visible CCTV can certainly make people think twice when they know their actions may be recorded.

What caught my attention today, however, was something completely different.

There are council CCTV cameras positioned within the estate, including cameras that appear to have excellent coverage of some of these areas. These aren't small domestic cameras either — they appear to be substantial PTZ-style cameras capable of covering a considerable area.

According to the resident, they have previously been informed that the relevant council cameras were not operational.

I want to make absolutely clear that I have not independently verified this, and I am not making any allegation against Newham Council or any other organisation.

But as someone who works within the security industry — and who is also a Newham council taxpayer myself — I think it raises a perfectly reasonable question:

If public CCTV equipment is installed in an area where residents experience repeated antisocial behaviour, vandalism or break-ins, what procedures are in place to ensure those cameras remain operational and available when residents need them?

Residents should also know how to report a potentially non-operational camera, how faults are prioritised, and what happens when footage is required following an incident.

This isn't about pointing fingers.

It's about asking whether the security infrastructure we've invested in is doing the job it was installed to do — helping to protect our communities and providing residents with reassurance.

I'd genuinely be interested to hear other Newham residents' experiences.

Have you ever needed council CCTV footage following an incident? Was footage available when you needed it?
