The kitchen at Church Road is all about the balance between materials.

Dark-stained timber runs from floor to ceiling, giving the cabinetry a strong presence in the room, while the lighter stone brings contrast across the worktops and recessed section behind the sink. Integrated lighting has been worked into the design, drawing attention to the natural movement in the stone without becoming a feature in itself.

At the centre, the island brings everything together. A substantial stone slab sits above a bronze-effect base, with timber detailing below adding warmth and another layer to the design.

The finished kitchen feels clean and uncomplicated, but achieving that simplicity takes a lot of coordination. The cabinetry, stone, lighting, appliances and services all have to meet precisely.

It’s that attention to what sits behind the finish that allows the finished space to feel so effortless.

CHURCH ROAD | BARNES

There are a few details at Church Road that are worth a closer look.

The staircase is one of them. Rather than treating it simply as a route between floors, the curved form, timber handrail and detailing around it make it part of the architecture of the house.

In the reception rooms, the construction becomes much more detailed. Full-height joinery has been built around the proportions of the room, with the wall lights, artwork and fitted elements all needing to sit precisely within it.

The kitchen takes a different approach again. Oak cabinetry, stone worktops and integrated lighting create a much cleaner finish, with very little of the construction behind it left visible.

Then there are the smaller details — the marble around the fireplace, the way the lighting has been positioned within the joinery, and the junctions between the different finishes.

Individually, they’re quite different elements.

Together, they show just how much of the finished interior is determined by the construction behind it.

CHURCH ROAD | BARNES HOUSE

The kitchen at Barnes House is shaped by contrast.

Dark timber joinery runs the full length of the space, balanced by substantial stone surfaces and warm bronze detailing. At the centre, the cantilevered island creates a strong architectural focal point while keeping the layout open and practical.

Above, a series of rooflights brings natural light through the kitchen and dining area, softening the darker finishes and connecting the different spaces.

The result is precise, considered and quietly impactful.

THE LITTLE BOLTONS | SW10

A project that moves comfortably between very different spaces.

From the darker, more intimate lounge and bar, to the lighter kitchen, hallway and study, each room has its own character while still feeling connected to the rest of the house.

The consistency comes through in the detailing — bespoke joinery, lighting, metalwork, stone and timber all working together without making the spaces feel over-designed.

That balance is what gives the finished home its identity.

THE LITTLE BOLTONS | SW10

At The Little Boltons, the exterior was about balancing the original character of the house with a more contemporary approach to the rear.

The front elevation retains its traditional detailing, while black-framed glazing, layered terraces and considered landscaping create a stronger connection between the house and garden.

A lot of construction sits behind a result that ultimately feels very simple.

The details that take a room from designed to finished.

At Alexander Place, it’s not just what you see — it’s how the individual elements have been constructed and brought together.

In the bedroom, the joinery runs full height, with curved corners, timber framing and textured panels all built into one continuous composition.

The radiator has been concealed behind a matching timber slatted cover, keeping what could have been a functional necessity completely integrated into the room.

Then into the bathroom, where the joinery becomes part of the architecture again.

The fluted timber vanity sits beneath a substantial stone worktop, with the basins set into the surface and mirrored storage recessed above. The proportions, junctions and alignment of each element are what give the space its clean finish.

Nothing here is an afterthought.

The timber, stone, cabinetry and concealed services have all been considered together — so that practical elements disappear into the design and the details read as one complete scheme.

This is where great construction meets design.

It’s the details that make a space feel considered.

At The Little Boltons, even the transition spaces have been given the same level of attention as the main rooms.

The oak staircase is finished with a clean, contemporary balustrade, while the full-height artwork along the stair wall adds character without competing with the architecture.

The detailing continues into the reception space, where a bespoke marble fireplace creates a strong focal point. The same stone carries through the hearth and surround, with the veining carefully positioned to become part of the design rather than simply a finish.

A large statement mirror above the fireplace brings another layer to the room, reflecting the natural light and surrounding architecture.

From the joinery and plasterwork to the stonework and finishing details, every element has been executed to sit seamlessly within the home.

Great construction isn’t always about making a statement.

Sometimes, it’s about getting every detail right.

THE LITTLE BOLTONS | SW10

A bedroom designed to feel like part of the architecture.

At The Little Boltons, the detailing continues into the private spaces of the home.

Built-in storage has been carefully integrated into the room, sitting alongside considered lighting, natural materials and soft finishes to create a space that feels calm without feeling overly styled.

It’s a simple approach, but one that relies on precision. When every element is properly considered, the finished space feels effortless.

THE LITTLE BOLTONS | SW10

A different perspective on The Little Boltons.

From the garden level looking back at the house, through to the kitchen and entrance hall, these latest images reveal how each part of the home connects.

What stands out is the contrast throughout. Original architectural detailing sits alongside steel-framed glazing, while natural stone, darker finishes and carefully considered materials give each space its own identity.

Outside, the lower courtyard and upper terrace have become an extension of the house itself, creating another layer to the way the property is experienced.

It’s when you see the spaces together that the scale and detail of the project really come through.
