Here’s a little follow up from our last post. This was an extremely small room which has now been converted to a wet-room for guests to use.
Some of the works we did:
Strip out the existing pantry
Installing waste pipes and connecting to the existing
Installing water proof easy panelling to the walls and ceiling as a cheaper alternative to tiles
Installing waterproof alto flooring
Running new hot and cold water to the room
Installing a new toilet, shower and space saver sink
Also a brand new window fitted by our sister company Affix Windows

Sometimes a renovation isn't about the big dramatic changes.
It's about going through a property carefully and bringing every detail back up to the standard it deserves.

This conservatory in Kidbrooke had seen better days, the concrete plinths had deteriorated over time breaking away in places, the pointing between the conservatory and the house needed attention, and the internal cills, skirtings and ceiling all needed some care and attention to finish the job off properly.

Affix Windows fitted the roof, we came in and took care of the rest. Between us, the full job got done.

Planning an extension or loft conversion and wondering if you need a structural engineer? Short answer: almost certainly yes. Here's why.

A structural engineer calculates the loads your building needs to carry, things like steel beam sizes, foundation depths, and wall removal specifications. Without one, your building regs application won't be approved.

When do you definitely need one?
— Removing a load-bearing wall
— Installing a steel beam
— Building an extension or loft conversion
— Any significant change to the structure of a building
