This year marks the 10th anniversary of Studio Adjective and seventh year of Objective Lifestyle Shop. A journey that has carried us from Hong Kong to Melbourne, and now to London, in devotion to the practice of spatial design and the curation of gifts/ objects.

Today, we are overjoyed to share that we have found a new home for our studio and shop in Hampstead, London - a place we loved and shaped by a long tradition of attentive living. And with Hampstead Heath on our doorstep.

In Hampstead, culture settles into the air with an understated grace. The neighbourhood carries a history of thoughts and ideas. A landscape where poetry, architecture and art have long conversed with one another. It has nurtured figures such as Walter Gropius, Ernő Goldfinger and Henry Moore, and inspired works as enduring as Ode to a Nightingale, The Man Who Sold the World and God Save the Queen. To us, Hampstead is far more than a picturesque village.

We are proud and grateful to become part of the community, and we look forward to sharing with you the next chapter of our works here.

CONCEPTS - “On material dialogue for Omotesando Koffee Pacific Place”

At Studio Adjective, each project begins with an inquiry into material and proportion. How surfaces meet, how light rests upon them, how a quiet rhythm can emerge from precision. The studio’s work is guided by restraint, pursuing beauty that is not loud but compose with attention, where every junction and edge carries intention.

For Omotesando Koffee’s new design in Pacific Place, this philosophy unfolds through a dialogue of contrast and craft. A dark-stained oak volume, treated with subtle profiles to create shadow and depth, anchors the space with warmth and tactility. From within, a nickel-finished frame rises - cool, reflective, and measured - its presence defined by the harmony between materials rather than by assertion.

Custom-designed modular furniture continues this conversation: soft, textured fabrics rest against dark timber and black metal detailing, forming a landscape of quiet comfort for coffee enjoyment.

Omotesando Koffee’s signature cubic frame - the kube - has long stood as an icon: a minimalist stage for the ritual of coffee. As our collaboration with the brand evolves, the new site within the open space in Pacific Place offered an opportunity to reimagine how the kube might assert its presence amid the surrounding bustle, while remaining unmistakably Omotesando Koffee.

Building a calm, natural backdrop within this lively environment became central to our design approach. A dark-stained oak box anchors the space - warm and grounded - allowing the nickel-finished kiosk to emerge as a sculptural focal point. The dialogue between wood and metal introduces a measured contrast, celebrating both material integrity and the brand’s refined sensibility.

CONCEPTS - “Integrating the brand’s heritages” Vanity Mahjong for Louis Vuitton

The mahjong tile emerges as an object of precision, converging from the materials and the brand’s history. At its core, the design absorbs the classic Louis Vuitton floral motif - not as decoration, but as structure. The flower folds across the four sides of each tile, an architectural gesture of embracement and forming curving profiles. Each tile is a union of ivory-toned composite stone and American walnut - two contrasting materials balanced not only in mass, but in meaning. Their junction is connected through the three-dimensional arches. Here, the flower meets the wood, and the junction is not hidden but highlighted.

Between the stone and walnut, a brass lockhole detail - seen from the language of Louis Vuitton’s trunks design - anchors the composition. It is not symbolic alone; it is the mechanical soul of the piece. This gesture of interlocking recurs across the wooden bars and wind indicator, establishing a consistent logic of connection throughout the set.

The Vanity Mahjong set is not simply a game, but a continuation of the brand’s architectural memory - object as heritage.

CONCEPTS - “Table Architecture”
Vanity Mahjong for Louis Vuitton

The design of “Vanity Mahjong” for Louis Vuitton is a celebration of architectural form and craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from the structural nature of mahjong’s stackable form, we approached the design from a macro perspective.

Mahjong tiles, when stacked, form rhythmic patterns across the game table. At the outset, they resemble a two-storey, four-walled fortress. And as the game progresses, it gradually disperses into scattered architectural forms. From this evolving tableau, we drew inspiration to pay tribute to the iconic cityscape of Hong Kong: a tapestry of modular vertical structures, geometric repetition, and the enduring beauty of colonial-era architectures. Such as The Murray and the General Post Office. We designed a tile that evokes an architectural module. The set is more than a functional object; it is an elegant dialogue between craftsmanship and legacy, paying tribute to a century-old artisanal tradition. The concept of “Table Architecture”, transforming the game into an expressive design statement.

Next, we will be sharing the concept of designing the module - mahjong tile itself.

Omotesando Koffee and Studio Adjective brings minimalist elegance to Salcedo, Manila. Through dark wood, warm plaster, and raw cement, the space speaks in a gentle dialect of order and warmth. At its core, a modest yet noble kiosk stands - barista as artisan, wood as stage. Light, geometry, and rhythm offer both structure and solace. .koffee

Tripodal Stool for - Constructed from six precisely cut pieces of Japanese red cedar, the stool’s form is as inventive as it is intentional. Three minimal legs - one gently slanted at a 7-degree angle - enhance the structure’s stability while establishing a distinct character. The design is further refined through a bespoke fixing technique, reducing unnecessary elements and ensuring that every detail serves a purposeful function.

In Galleon, the concept of “Wood - Detail and Craftsmanship” redefines the relationship between furniture and its most essential element—wood. Here, bespoke display units aren’t just functional; they are sculptural expressions that push the material to new artistic heights.

Crafted from Paper-Wood—an innovative composite developed by Plywood Laboratory—each piece embodies purity and precision. Handmade in Hokkaido, layers of locally sourced plywood and recycled paper fuse to create a material of understated complexity and refined simplicity. From this tactile medium, clean-lined display shelves and a service counter emerge, their sharp edges revealing intricate profiles with meticulous clarity.

To enhance the dialogue between texture and form, each wood display unit is crowned with a marble top—a deliberate contrast that elevates every detail.

“Convivium” - The bespoke table-tennis table embodies a union of leisure and conviviality. Designed to transition between play and communal dining, they serve as both a meeting point and a centrepiece for shared moments. The splayed trestle legs, subtly recalling the rhythmic lines of a Zen garden rake, offer both stability and a sense of poetry. A finely crafted lattice net, removable with ease, allows the table to transform from game mode to dining setting.

Handcrafted from reclaimed American black walnut and hard maple, the tables reflect a commitment to natural materials and thoughtful craftsmanship, realised in collaboration with Hong Kong wood workshop .mat .

Inspired by the essence of fragrance, we have transformed the new RAZE Shops essence of scent into a tactile and visual experience, in three locations. Every design element is crafted to give form to fragrance through texture, materiality, and light.

The spatial concept envisions scent as a visible texture, engaging not only the sense of smell but also sight and touch. The diffusion of fragrance - whether as spray, smoke, or gel - is translated into architectural elements, with textured art paints, translucent resin, and frosted stainless steel mirroring its movement and depth.

Curved architectural forms soften the space, juxtaposed with modular stainless steel shelving and island that elevates the products. Eco-friendly plaster walls and textured paints root the design in nature, while stainless steel and resin introduce a refined, contemporary edge. The result is more than a retail space—it is an immersive, sensorial journey, where nature and technology meet in seamless harmony.

Little Cove Espresso - One Island East, underwent a quick transformation to create a new espresso pavilion design. The existing kiosk, previously owned by a different brand, was meticulously renovated with minimum amendments yet providing a brand new experience to the customers.

The new design features frosted brass cladded panels, complemented by white curved panels that form a distinctive outer layer and overhead structure. The weaving layer harmonizes with the existing escalator’s profile, and to recall LCE’s coastal-inspired design aesthetic.
