Nothing beats smiling faces in our training room! 😁

It was a pleasure to welcome the team from EzeLift for a hands-on lift training session led by Mike Turner.

Together, we covered a range of topics, including:

🔹 Understanding drawings and electrical circuits
🔹 Fault finding and diagnostics
🔹 Controller wiring, installation and commissioning
🔹 Key monitoring features across our lift control systems
🔹 How remote monitoring supports engineers in the field

To round off the day, everyone received a training certificate in recognition of completing the course. 👏

A big thank you to the EzeLift's team for bringing plenty of enthusiasm, great questions and quite a few good laughs along the way. And, of course to Mike for sharing his knowledge and experience!

Last week, we welcomed Daniel Arogundade for his work experience placement.

Working alongside our office team, Daniel got a behind-the-scenes look at the day-to-day running of the business, picked up new skills and got involved with a variety of tasks across the week.

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to support and mentor Daniel. We hope he enjoyed his week with us and wish him all the very best for the future! 👏

Another great day of lift training at Lester Controls! 💪

This time, it was a pleasure to welcome the team from Nova Lifts for a hands-on training session led by Mike Turner.

Throughout the day, the team explored a range of topics, including:

🔹 Understanding drawings and electrical circuits

🔹 Fault finding and diagnostics

🔹 Controller wiring, installation and commissioning

🔹 Key monitoring features across our lift control systems

🔹 How remote monitoring supports engineers in the field

A sunny afternoon away from the desks.. ☀️

The Lester Controls team got together for a summer hog roast! It was a chance to put work to one side for a few hours, catch up with colleagues, enjoy some great food and spend time together outside the office.

Days like this remind us that it's not all about controllers and control panels. Taking time to chat, have a laugh and get to know each other a little better is just as important.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and to The London Hog Roast for keeping us very well fed! 🐷

A future engineer in the making! ⚙️

This week, we were delighted to welcome Chigozie Obichukwu from Wilson's School for his work experience placement.

Working primarily alongside David Quinn, Chigozie spent the week getting hands-on with a range of activities across our production department. From pre-wiring a COP to learning about the different stages of ancillary production, he gained a real insight into what goes into manufacturing lift control equipment.

Even better, Chigozie already has his sights set on a career in engineering so we hope the week has given him plenty to take away and build on.

A big thank you to David, James and the rest of the team for mentoring Chigozie throughout the week and sharing their knowledge and experience.

We wish Chigozie every success with his studies and look forward to seeing where his engineering journey takes him. 👏

Mental Health Awareness Day 🧠✨
Real vulnerability. Real stories. Real conversations.

This week, we welcomed Petra from Petrain/Lift Industry Mental Health Charter for a Mental Health Awareness Day.

Rather than simply talking through facts and statistics, Petra shared her own personal journey with honesty, openness and courage. Those real-life experiences sparked meaningful conversations throughout the day and reminded us that mental health affects us all.

A huge thank you to Petra for four brilliant back-to-back sessions and for creating a space where people felt comfortable to listen, learn and reflect.

At Lesters, we believe looking after one another is just as important as looking after the work we do.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please remember that support is available. The Lift Industry Mental Health Charter provides helpful resources, guidance and support for anyone who needs it.

Swallow Lifts team in the house! 💪

It was a pleasure to welcome the service, repair and installation engineers from Swallow Site Services Ltd. for a hands-on technical training session led by Michael Turner.

Throughout the day, the team explored our LCSL Almega II Control Systems and CEDES APS Shaft Encoder, combining practical exercises with technical discussions to build confidence and product knowledge.

To recognise their successful completion of the course, each engineer received a Lester Controls training certificate. 🎓

A big thank you to everyone who attended, asked great questions and contributed throughout the day.
