💙 32 YEARS, COUNTLESS MEMORIES AND ONE VERY EMOTIONAL GOODBYE!

After more than 32 incredible years with Lester Controls, it was time to say a very fond farewell to our Darren Thomas! 🥹

Three decades is a long time to be part of a company and Darren has certainly left his mark on ours. From the colleagues he's worked alongside to the friendships, laughs and memories made along the way, he's been a big part of the Lester story.

As you can see from the photos, we couldn't let him leave without a proper send-off! A speech from Stuart, plenty of hugs and more than a few emotional moments too.

Darren, thank you for your 32 years of dedication, hard work and everything you've brought to Team Lester.

You'll certainly be missed, but we're excited for you as you turn the page and begin your next chapter. Here's to new adventures, exciting opportunities and all the good things ahead! 🥂

Once part of Team Lester, always part of Team Lester. 💙

Wishing you all the very best, Darren! ✨

Meet Cameron! Another new face at Lester Controls ⭐️

Cameron has recently joined us as a Business Administration Apprentice, combining his role here at Lester with his studies at Croydon College.

As part of his apprenticeship, Cameron will be gaining hands-on experience across the business, building his skills and getting a real insight into how things work behind the scenes at Lester.
And when he's not studying or working, you'll most likely find him playing cricket! 🏏

We're always pleased to see the next generation starting their careers in the industry and we're looking forward to supporting Cameron as he develops in his new role.

Welcome to Team Lester, Cameron! 👏

Meet, Owen Fenemore!

A few weeks into the role and it’s about time we properly introduced Owen, our new Production Manager in the South! 💙

Owen has been working closely with Tony over the past few weeks, helping to ensure a smooth handover and getting well and truly settled into life at Lester Controls.

And it sounds like he’s already made quite the impression. When we asked the team about Owen, a few words kept coming up:

💬 Humble. Knowledgeable. A calming presence. And a breath of fresh air.

We think that says it better than we could! 🙃

Great to have you on board, Owen. We’re looking forward to seeing you make the role your own. 🙌

WOMEN IN THE VERTICAL TRANSPORTATION INDUSTRY 💪

A brilliant and important topic to see represented at this year’s Lift & Escalator Symposium!

A big well done to Gemma for championing more women in our industry and opening up conversations around not only encouraging women to join but supporting them to stay and grow within it. 🙌

At Lester Controls, we’re proud to support the women across our own team too. You might even spot two familiar Lester faces, Dawn and Petya, making it onto Gemma’s slides! 👀💙

Great work, Gemma! 👏
