A burglar might seem an unlikely poster boy for a security company, but Burglar Bill is part of Banham’s 100-year heritage.

From the real-life burglars invited to test our first locks in 1931 - they failed to pick them, and were promptly arrested by Scotland Yard - to the mime-artist who stopped traffic by winking at passers-by from the window of our London showroom, and our very first slogan: “Why Fear Burglars?" established one year later.

Burglar Bill became an icon of Banham’s early years, and we’re excited to bring him back as we celebrate 100 years of Banham and share our story with the world.
