Danny Sullivan Group (DSG) has been supplying skilled, professional labour to the civil engineering, rail, transportation and construction industries since it was established in 1986. With a group turnover of £75 million and a workforce of over 1,500 employees, we have supported clients on over 900 construction projects. DSG has grown to become one of the leading experts in providing temporary and permanent staff within the Air, Civils, Highways, Nuclear, Rail, Security, Tunnelling and Utilities sectors. We provide:
• Trades & Labour for the civil engineering industry
• Safety critical and non-technical labour for work on the rail infrastructure for Network Rail, LUL and train operating companies
• Tunnelling operatives
• Airside access approved labour (Heathrow, Gatwick & Edinburgh)
• Nuclear access approved labour (Hinkley Point C)

✨ Project Spotlight | Brent Cross 🏗️

Recently, we visited our team at Brent Cross, where we met with Ramandeep Gill, Site Manager at Costain, and had a look around the compound as preparations get underway for the next stage of works.

The project is set to deliver a structures upgrade, with our operatives supporting the work as it progresses.

It's always great to get out on site, meet the people behind the projects and see the work taking shape first-hand.

A big thank you to Ramandeep and the Costain team for taking the time to show us around.

Because behind every project, it's the people on site who make it happen.

✨ Meet Vasile.

One of our Carpenters, who has built his career through hard work, experience and a commitment to doing things properly.

Vasile started working in construction back in 2012.

Since then, he's continued to develop his trade, gaining qualifications including Level 2 Carpentry and crane/slinger training, while building the practical skills that come with years on site.

But for Vasile, the job has taught him more than just the trade.

It's taught him about himself too.

He's learned that he's hardworking, reliable and someone who works well as part of a team.

And some of his proudest moments aren't necessarily about what he's built himself.

They're about what he's achieved with the people around him.

Working alongside his friends on site.
Completing jobs together.
Seeing the finished result after all the hard work.

That's what gives him a real sense of pride.

Because there's something satisfying about standing back at the end of a job and knowing you've played your part in making it happen.

Outside of work, it's his family that keeps him grounded.

Spending time together.
Relaxing.
Resting.
Taking a step back from site life.

And construction has changed his life in more ways than one.

It's helped him grow financially, but just as importantly, it's helped him grow as a person.

After more than a decade in the industry, the qualities Vasile wants to be remembered for are simple:

Hardworking.
Reliable.
Family-oriented.

And perhaps that's what makes a career last.

Turning up.
Doing the job properly.
Working well with the people around you.
And continuing to grow along the way.

✨ Meet Michael.

One of our Traffic Marshal Supervisors, who has built his career through experience, hard work and learning from the people around him.

Michael has been in construction for years. In his early 20s, he was digging basements by hand. Tough, nonstop work with very few breaks.

Those experiences have stayed with him.

The routine.
Being outdoors.
The team around him.
Working with good people.

For Michael, some of the biggest lessons have come from experienced people who were willing to share what they knew, including the mistakes they had made themselves.

That experience has changed him too.

Five years ago, Michael says he had a big ego.

Today, experience has humbled him and taught him to think differently.
And when it comes to his workmates, having someone's back means being there when things are going well and when they aren't.

Being honest.
Saying what someone needs to hear.
Helping them avoid making the same mistakes.

Michael is still progressing.
Still learning.
Still looking for the next challenge.

And there's one thing that keeps him moving forward.

The people around him.
The work he does.
And the pride that comes from being part of the industry.

The ones who learn from experience, support the people around them and keep turning up.

One of our Multi-skilled Operators, who has worked his way up from the bottom, building his skills and his career along the way.

Starting with very little, Suresh learned English, took on new courses and kept developing himself.

For him, the opportunity to keep learning has been a big part of his journey.
The people around him too.

The workmates who share their knowledge, help each other and make sure no one is left behind.

Suresh is still learning. Still developing. Still looking for the next skill to add.

And after everything he’s achieved, there’s one thing he knows.

He wants to stay.

The people.
The opportunities.
The pride in what he does.

The ones who start from the bottom and keep turning up, learning and moving forward.
