Details: We are currently recruiting for an experienced General Foreman (GF) for ongoing highways and civil engineering works in the Radlett area.

Rate: £25.44 PAYE

This role involves general highways construction supervision and subcontractor management, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day site supervision
Managing subcontractors on highways works
Coordinating site activities and programme delivery
Ensuring full health & safety compliance
Reading drawings and planning works
Reporting progress to site management
Requirements:

CSCS Gold Card (Essential)
SSSTS or SMSTS (Essential)
Right to Work in the UK (Essential)
Proven experience as a General Foreman
Strong background in highways / civils projects
Experience managing subcontractors and site teams

Highways experience is crucial.

We're looking to build a skilled Engineering team of four + Site Manager for future work in multiple regions across the UK.

📍 Location: Multiple regions including London, South East, North West and North East

The team will need to have the following capabilities within it:

630mm Main Layer
Butt Fusion, trackstar
360 – above and below 10t (13t min, plus smaller i.e 8 tonne)
Dumper – forward view, 8t
Deep Excavation Up to 2.5m (if possible above 2.5m)
Slinger / Signaller
Banksman
Vehicle Marshall
First Aid
Steve Vick pipe handling equipment familiarisation
Experience of MP & large diameter work

We are encouraging registrations of interest from both individuals and existing teams and some additional capabilities for each role are listed below:

This week, we're spotlighting how our values have been prevalent on the A428 Skanska project.

Our operative, Mirjan Mata, recently provided assistance to a member of the public who had come off their motorbike near the works area. Mirjan assisted the individual, assessed the injuries, supported them for shock and escorted them to the security team, where they were kept safe until a family member arrived.

Mirjan embodied all of our values of being Fair, Well, Committed and Courageous and was subsequently nominated for an A428 Stars award.

This week, as part of our industry-leading social value programme, Katie Ryan and Ion Anencov visited Year 7 students at Meadow High School in Hillingdon, London.

The aim of the day was to educate students about the Skanska Costain STRABAG Joint Venture HS2 project, in particular the health and safety elements that ensure that each and every one of our operatives get home safe and well, each and every night.

They particularly enjoyed the PPE relay! This is an exciting and engaging way to demonstrate the positive impact that Personal Protection Equipment can have on site safety. It's an activity that is proving to be a big hit in all of the schools we work with and we look forward to continuing to roll it out in the coming months.
