“Taking the form of weather vanes, these works nod to traditional Norman models while reimagining them through abstract and graphic expression, somewhere between figuration and abstraction.
Their vertical stripes evoke both a signalling code and the naval camouflage known as razzle-dazzle. The contrast between their angular geometric forms and the garden’s flowing curves creates a visual tension, heightened by the interplay between the rigidity of aluminium and the organic nature of the plants.”

We welcome a new series of mobile aluminium sculptures, razzle / d’oiseaux (1–3), by Kamil Bouzoubaa-Grivel. Inspired by the birds inhabiting the site and the ever-present wind that animates the landscape, these works reflect the spirit of motion and transformation at Jardins d'Étretat.

“These sculpted gardens immediately evoked a certain sensuality in me. I watched the visitors caress its curves and felt like responding to those gestures. My sculpture is placed in the heart of the arch, in a friendly embrace. Facing the colossal, majestic cliffs of Étretat, facing the sharp power of the stack watching us, I imagined a fleshy figure, full of folds and curves, proudly showing its naked form for all to see.”
