We had a quick visit to our project in Mayfair and it was great to see the precast concrete planters in the facade adding a touch of greenery to the urban landscape. Its design complements the charming architecture of the mews, enhancing the overall aesthetic while providing a vibrant contrast to the surrounding concrete and brickwork.

A beautifully crafted bespoke wooden bookshelf features a simple yet elegant design. The oak finish is subtly enhanced with a light white pigment and a natural wax oil treatment, preserving its inherent color. An integrated fire-rated glazed screen positioned behind the bookshelf creates a visual link to the sculptural staircase.

Inspiring visit to the Diposit de les Aigues (now central library of University Pompeu Fabra), Barcelona, Spain.
A 65 metre-long vaulted structure. Originally built in 1874, the building is a Roman-like construction formed by 1-meter thick, 14-meters high brick walls, intersecting with vaults and extending 65 meters. Built by Josep Fontsere, it was first used as a reservoir of water, regulating the flow of the waterfall in the park of Ciutadella as well as watering their gardens. A then young student of architecture, Antoni Gaudí i Cornet, did the static calculation of the tower and support elements.

The mews elevation responds sympathetically to the surrounding mews properties, taking its cues from the historic residential typologies of central London. The upper floors are constructed in limestone coloured ‘roman’ style bricks and lime mortar. A nod to the brick vernacular. The brickwork forms deep window reveals to the first floor which allows for large reconstituted limestone planters at cill level, offering a visually stronger and more robust solution to this prevalent approach in the area for window boxes to provide vegetation to the upper floors of properties.

The construction of this new build house project in South London has commenced on site after extensive discussions and coordination with neighbors and other stakehokders for almost 4 years. The existing ground slab has been demolished to make way for the construction to progress. Looking forward to the upcoming developments!
