How to look after your boiler in the summer...⁠

Arrange an annual service⁠
While you are enjoying the lovely weather, your boiler will appreciate some R&R of its own! An annual service will keep it running safely, efficiently and reliably. You also don't want it to break down unexpectedly!⁠

Radiators need your attention too! ⁠
Despite your radiators not being part of your boiler, they are an important element of your home's overall heating system. Summer is an excellent time to inspect them for leaks and, if necessary, replace or relocate them.⁠

Switch it on⁠
Whether you've transitioned to hot water or turned off your boiler, it's a good idea to run your central heating for a few minutes each month to keep the system in good working condition. Turn on the boiler, raise the thermostat until your radiators start to warm up and then turn it off or back to hot water only. Do this regularly throughout the summer to prevent the pump and diverter valve inside seize due to lack of use. And when you need it in Autumn, your heating will come back on!⁠
