Replaced two old leaking cast iron cylinders in a block of flats in Central London with two new cylinders.

The work was done with great skill and care with only one Flat reporting an airlock on their system which was cleared immediately by the team on site.

Updated our old bathroom, transforming into a wet room
Thank you WPS for making our tired old bathroom into a modern wet room enabling us to enjoy bathing with ease. WPS changed the bathroom door to open outwards into the hall giving more space in the bathroom.

The team was amazing and a pleasure to have in our home.

Starting to feel the chill?
Look out for the warning signs you may have frozen pipes
Your central heating makes gurgling sounds when it’s on
Your boiler won’t turn on.

Don't panic .... let's find the culprit
You’ll need to find out which pipe is frozen. If you have a modern condensing boiler, it’ll most likely be your condensate pipe. This will be usually a white plastic pipe that comes out of your boiler, find where it goes outside to see if it’s frozen.

Any outdoor pipe can be at risk during cold frosty weather, as are the ones that are indoors in any cold spots in the house, lofts, basements and cupboards that sit on external walls.

Once you have identified the pipe that is frozen, to thaw it out, slowly pour hot not boiling water over the frozen pipe and place a hot water bottle on the pipe. ONLY attempt this if it is safe to do so.

Once you have defrosted your pipe, press the reset button on the boiler.

There are many tutorials on YouTube if you need any further assistance.

Should I have a magnetic filter fitted with my new boiler?

We do recommend fitting a magnetic filters. They are specifically designed to combat the damaging effects of system debris and pollutants. Protecting your boiler makes it more efficient to run and prolongs the life of the boiler.

Most manufacturers offer a longer warranty when you fit a magnetic filter with your new boiler.

Why should I have my boiler serviced annually?

Your boiler plays a major role in your home providing hot water and heating. By neglecting to have an annual service you can impact its performance, make your home unsafe, gas leaks and carbon monoxide can go undetected until they reach a critical level that you can smell gas or become unwell from inhaling carbon monoxide.

A regular boiler check can help prevent boiler breakdowns with costly repairs by ensuring your boiler performance is at its optimum, keeping your energy bill low and being kind to the environment.

If you have a new boiler, most manufacturers offer from 5 - 12 years warranty if you have your boiler serviced annually.

Prolong the life of your thermostatic shower

Setting your thermostatic shower to your favourite temperature and not moving it allows scale caused by hard water to build up damaging your shower performance and shorten its lifespan.

To prevent this happening and extend the life of your thermostatic shower, turn the thermostat control on a regular basis to stop the scale building up. By moving the thermostat setting it breaks up any scale which may be forming.
