The original gates on this property had completely failed — heavy rot at the base, water damage throughout, and no structural integrity left. Repair wasn’t an option… so we went for a full bespoke replacement.

🔧 What we did:
• Removed and disposed of the existing rotten gates
• Designed and built custom-made timber gates to perfectly suit the opening
• Installed new heavy-duty hinges, latches & secure ironmongery
• Ensured precise alignment for smooth opening/closing
• Strengthened the frame to prevent future movement or sagging

Built from 25mm MDF and carefully set out to follow the loft pitch, this fitted storage run makes excellent use of the eaves space while keeping the room clean, practical, and well balanced. Every section has been measured, cut, and assembled with precision to achieve sharp lines, consistent panel spacing, and a seamless built-in look.

A great plastering stage completed on this substantial loft project in Chiswick.

This space includes full-height ceilings, large rooflights, air conditioning provision, and bespoke built-in storage, all of which required careful preparation and a high standard of finish throughout.

At this stage of a project, the plastering makes a huge difference. It brings the structure together, sharpens the lines of the room, and creates the smooth, even surfaces needed for the final fit-out and decoration. With the amount of natural light entering through the skylights, the finish had to be right — and we are very pleased with how this one has come together.

BEFORE & AFTER – Full Bathroom Transformation by Maycor Building Contractors

What a difference.

This bathroom has been completely transformed from a dated layout with painted walls and tiling limited mainly to the shower enclosure, into a clean, modern and far more luxurious space finished to a very high standard throughout.

The new design now features full-height large-format porcelain tiles across the bathroom, creating a sharper, more spacious and more premium feel from every angle. We installed a large shower enclosure, a concealed matt black shower mixer with both overhead rainfall shower and handheld set, a striking illuminated matt black recessed niche, an anti-fog LED mirror, a beautiful floating vanity and basin, matt black fittings throughout, heated flooring, and a matching towel radiator to complete the space.

The contrast between the old green painted finish and the new porcelain-lined bathroom shows exactly how much impact the right layout, materials and finish quality can make.
