We designed this entrance hallway for a residence in London focusing on continuous sightlines and layered materials. We set high-gloss wall panels opposite distressed mirror wardrobe doors, along with a soft neutral wall finish and timber accents. Warm sconce lighting illuminates the upholstered seating nook at the entryway.

Focusing on how light hits the space throughout the day. We brought in heavy reeded glass, linear stone fluting, and warm brassware to build up texture, anchored by that dark marble stool in the corner.

Using tone-on-tone materials keeps the whole room feeling calm, but the tactile details give your eye something to track as you move through.

The detail in the transitions.

An architectural perspective is why Vincenzo De Cotiis stands out to us. Objects handled like architecture, setting heavy layers alongside one another so the detail lives entirely in the junction and the silhouette.

We approached this lounge design through layered tones and open sightlines. Veined marble wall cladding, dark timber trims, and neutral bouclé upholstery sit opposite a framed, textured feature panel. The low furniture height keeps the layout clear across the area rug, letting the ceiling plaster detailing hold its own overhead.

Simple alignment, clean edge profiles.

Positioning the study directly against full-height sheer drapery allows soft natural daylight to frame the workspace throughout the day.

Deep burgundy velvet and warm leather ground the scheme against light herringbone flooring. Beside the desk, wardrobe doors pair textured fabric panels with full-length recessed brass hardware.

At Hyde Park Gate, the focus shifts to the subtle mechanics of joinery and surface transition.

Recessed brass inlay breaks up the vertical grain of the timber doors, mirroring the precise shadow gaps around the integrated alcove cabinetry. Across the suite, materials are layered to absorb and reflect daylight differently, moving from the soft, natural finish of the stone coffee table to the metallic leaf detail catching light behind the headboard.

Can a delicate palette still command architectural presence?

In this private suite, soft pink hues and subtle textures are anchored by precise, symmetrical joinery. The space was meticulously refined to prioritise privacy, comfort, and layout balance, pairing a bespoke curved vanity desk with floral wardrobe doors.

Natural daylight catches the fine detail of the silk panels, while concealed lighting adds depth to the surrounding joinery.

Spotlight: Blue 💙

A unifying thread across different projects.

When used with intention, blue brings a quiet, architectural weight to a room. It grounds a space, giving surrounding neutral tones and refined metal details room to breathe.
