👉 This recent Farnborough project covered 85m² in total, combining two different installation methods across the property.

We precision-milled 47m² into the existing floor and installed a further 38m² using a clipped system, bringing both areas together as one wet underfloor heating setup.

That’s the bit the homeowner ultimately cares about – not where one floor construction ends and another begins, but that the whole space heats consistently and feels like one home.

The install itself came together really nicely too, helped by an absolutely lovely client who made the job a pleasure from start to finish.

73m² in Shefford… drop it like it’s hot! 🔥

This one had been in the diary for a while, so we’d been looking forward to finally getting up to Shefford and getting started.

The project was at the home of TJ Shefford Plumbing where we installed a full retrofit wet underfloor heating system across 73m², working across a mix of concrete and screed.

👉 Around 55m² was concrete
👉 Around 18m² was screed
👉 Channels precision-milled into the existing floor
👉 Pipework installed throughout
👉 Channels fully sealed and finished
👉 System prepared for connection to the existing gas boiler

The job itself came together really smoothly, and TJ was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. Friendly, welcoming, organised and just genuinely easy to work alongside.

🔥 It definitely helped that he knows underfloor heating inside out too. As an experienced plumber, he’s confident with manifold connections, final system setup and commissioning, so everything on site just flowed. When everyone understands the wider system and what needs to happen next, it makes a huge difference!

Back in Bromley — and back working with a familiar face! 🔥

👉 This was our second project in just three weeks for the same customer, a heating engineer who chose to work with us again after the first installation.

This time, we precision-milled 63m² of existing screed, while also integrating our new installation with underfloor heating already running through several rooms.

👉 That meant adapting the original manifold design too. What started as a 7-port setup became an upgraded 10-port manifold, bringing the existing and new UFH circuits together as one system.

Retrofit projects aren’t always completely straightforward, and that’s where experience with existing systems really matters.

And being asked back for another project only three weeks later? We’ll happily take that as a compliment! 🙌

97m² of retrofit underfloor heating, installed in Whissendine. 🔥

This project gave us a good chance to show what precision-milled retrofit UFH looks like in practice.

👉 Working alongside , we milled the channels directly into the existing floor, installed the pipework across 97m² and prepared the system for the next stage of the renovation.

The benefit of this method is in the detail.

Because the pipework sits within the existing screed or concrete, there’s no need to build a bulky system on top of the floor. That helps keep floor levels under control, reduces unnecessary disruption and makes retrofit UFH much easier to integrate into a wider refurbishment.

And with professional dust extraction running throughout the milling process, the installation stays far cleaner and more controlled than many people expect.

Neat channels. Tidy pipework. Minimal disruption. Ready for the next trade!

73m² of retrofit underfloor heating completed in Middlesbrough. 🔥

Another project wrapped up by the Channel Heat Systems team!

👉 We precision-milled channels directly into the existing floor and installed our 16mm underfloor heating pipework across 73m², without raising the existing floor level.

At the customer’s request, we also applied an adhesive seal over the pipework and completed the self-levelling, leaving the floor ready for the next stage of the renovation.
