Has been a busy week so far with lots being completed.

Both of our electrical projects in Harpenden and Hitchin are close to 1st fix completion. Yesterday we made great strides in a new 8kw solar array, installing 8 of 13 440w panels on our customers South East roof complete with optimisers. 9 panels on the South West roof were installed last week. All installed using PV ultra cable, a complete game changer.

We started on 3 new EV charging projects for local schools, utilising the new government OZEV grant for state schools. Completed first fix today, installing 2x & 2x ready for 4x 22kw EV chargers. Each charging station installed on its own supply on a EV 6 way O-PEN distribution board.

ground works were completed today by , where 3x and supply cables have been installed, ready for 5x EV chargers and 3x .

Everything4EV also completed the ground works at The Ridgeway Academy in Welwyn Garden City, in preparation for our next EV charging installation.

So a busy week so far and more updates to follow.

Despite the interchangeable weather which caused a few challenges, felt good to get this one completed and delighted with the finish we provided for our customer.

A in-roof solar installation using all black 430w panels, Libbi battery for for storage along with an Eddi for diverting surplus energy to our customers hot water tank and a Zappi EV charger. All fully integrated to maximise efficiency.

Installation includes a 40m sub main circuit, dedicated to renewables using , and distribution equipment.

Being responsible installers, all parts installed have been manufactured in the UK or EU, with the exception of the battery which has been distributed from Grimsby, in an effort to reduce our carbon print from factory to installation.

Despite the rain doing it’s best to cause havoc…it’s a been a busy week so far and we are slow ticking off the jobs ✅✅✅. Completed this Powerwall 2 installation today with a Tesla Gateway, for uninterrupted power supply in the event of a power cut. The Tesla Powerwall is a 13.5 kWh battery storage system, that’s stylish and smart.

The week kicked off with a Libbi battery storage installation, followed with several EV charger installations and site surveys for new installations. Unfortunately our multi charger installation at a Hertfordshire Film Studios did get postponed due to the rain but he will be back in a couple of weeks and look forward to sharing that installation. Tomorrow, a couple of EV chargers to install and a RAK4 install, after an offsite repair and then…..a long weekend for us all 🤗. It’s been a week of EV workplace installations for Green Electrical this week. This 22kw dual EV charger was installed for another , which Green Electrical was able to discount £700 from the cost of installation by applying for workplace grant.

The installation consists of a 16mm 5 core cable run, with fire rated clips, surge protection, RCD and PEN fault protection.

Yay we did it ….. Green Electrical are now MCS accredited for Solar and Battery Storage.

Just over 3 months ago, myself and the members of on the had to submit our individual business growth plans. The growth plan, a well written document about our purpose, our goals, our forecast and more importantly our processes in delivering our plan. In ours, we set a dozen or so performance and sales targets, many that we are already hitting and 3 major goals for Green Electrical to overcome. The first, which we wanted to achieve by spring 2024, was to become an approved contractor. This was a vital step for us as it gave meaning to our purpose in business, which is to ‘create a sustainable way of living for our customers, using accessible technology for self-efficiency’. In terms of standards, becoming an MCS accredited is the benchmark for all renewable energy installers.

What is MCS and why have we joined?
MCS (microgeneration certification scheme for low carbon technologies) is an independent foundation set up by the government to protect and conserve the environment. They plan to achieve this by setting quality standards for microgeneration products and installers. Their mission, ‘to give people confidence in low carbon energy technology by defining, maintaining and improve quality’ matches our ambitions in becoming a leading installers in renewable equipment.
