Our lion has been let loose!

When our friends at Qualis Group Ltd introduced us to the Lions on the Loose trail in support of St Clare Hospice, we didn’t need asking twice. We pounced at the chance to be involved.

We were eagerly awaiting the moment our lion was finally let loose, so we headed over last night to watch the installation ahead of today’s official launch. Seeing the trail come to life was a proud moment for the whole team.

Over the past few weeks we’ve had the privilege of seeing our sponsored lion arrive, and last night we were eager to watch The Alchemy of Bees take its place ahead of today’s official launch. Seeing the trail come to life and our lion join the pride was a proud moment for the team.

Designed by the talented Muna Zuberi, The Alchemy of Bees celebrates the beauty of bees and flowers, symbolising hope, resilience and renewal.

Those values resonate strongly with us at KBH Haus and reflect our commitment to supporting the communities we work in.

As a local business, we’re proud to support initiatives that bring people together while raising vital funds for St Clare Hospice. Alongside the work we deliver every day, opportunities like this allow us to give something back to the communities we serve.

If you’re in Harlow, Epping or Loughton over the coming weeks, keep an eye out for The Alchemy of Bees and take some time to explore the incredible trail. The sculptures will be on display until 10th September before coming together for the farewell event and charity auction.

A huge thank you to Qualis for introducing us to this fantastic initiative, and to Julie Foster and the entire team at St Clare Hospice for their dedication, passion and hard work in bringing Lions on the Loose to life. We are incredibly proud to be part of the pride.

Creating Confidence, Skills & Community Through Social Value

Last week, through our work with Clarion Housing Group, the KBH Haus team delivered another week of meaningful social value in action supporting confidence, practical life skills and community creativity.

1. Public Speaking & Confidence Workshop – Penge Primary School
Through Haus Academy we had the pleasure of delivering a fun, high-energy public speaking workshop with pupils in Penge, helping children build confidence, communication skills and new friendships through interactive games and activities.
The feedback from pupils said it all:

“I liked that we got to move around and learn more about other people. I really liked the games. It helped my confidence!”

“It was very fun, it helped me speak properly so that people could understand correctly. I loved the games! I liked mixing with a different year group. I built new friendships. I really want to do it again!”

Seeing children grow in confidence in just one session is exactly why these workshops matter.

2. Plumbing & DIY Basics: Skills for Home and Work – Hackney
Hosted by out Clarion contract manager, a hands-on Haus Academy workshop, giving residents practical, everyday home maintenance skills while introducing plumbing as a potential career pathway.

The session covered:
-Unblocking toilets, baths & sinks
-Isolating hot and cold water
-Understanding water systems & pressure
-Bleeding radiators
-Preventing common household issues

Attendees also received a free take-home toolkit to help build confidence in managing small repairs independently at home.

3. Supporting Community Creativity in Bow
Finally, our team supported a local school art initiative by helping install 18 A0 pupil-designed mural panels externally in Bow, showcasing children’s creativity and bringing colour, identity and pride into the local community.
This is what social value should look like, practical support, confidence building and lasting community impact.

Manufactured In-House. Delivered Without Compromise.

At KBH Haus, we don’t rely on fragmented supply chains for critical components, we control them.

From our manufacturing facilities, we produce uPVC and timber windows and doors, including BM TRADA Q-Mark certified timber fire doors, alongside the installation of aluminium and fire-rated systems, providing full control from survey through to installation and handover.

This integrated model removes uncertainty, strengthens quality assurance and ensures delivery aligned to live programme demands.

What this means for our clients:

Programme certainty – reduced reliance on third-party suppliers and improved delivery reliability
Consistent quality – factory-controlled production to exact project specifications
Compliance embedded – aligned to PAS 2030:2023, TrustMark, and current fire safety regulations
Enhanced security performance – systems designed to meet PAS 24 where required
Fire safety assurance – third-party certified manufacture and installation aligned to BM TRADA Q-Mark standards
Golden Thread assurance – full traceability from manufacture through to installation
Responsive delivery – manufacturing schedules aligned to site progress and access constraints

In a sector where delays, quality risks and supply chain fragmentation are common, our model provides control, certainty and accountability at every stage.

We manufacture. We install. We deliver.
