We have received the saddest news of the passing of my dear friend Leon Krier.
A teacher, mentor, colleague and friend,his support, and encouragement was instrumental in the establishment of many architectural practices like ours . Leon was a vanguard of New Traditional Architecture and a true revolutionary . He remains the moral compass and a hero to generations of architects who follow his guiding light.

May he rest in peace , the world is a better place because of his legacy and a forlorn one without him.

Testing the capabilities of generative Ai in a project for extension to an existing building that serves as a research centre and museum. 
Ai is used as a digital apprentice that learns and then draws on the principles and tectonic elements of a specific language of architecture.Ultimatley ,the building emerges from the mind and hand of the Architect who through an understanding of the vernacular , judicious selection and composition of elements imbues the building with its essential humanist qualities.

The SGA Christmas card this year follows the office tradition of featuring a rendering or photograph of one of our projects re imagined by our Associate Director Pawel Więcek, as a scene on the eve of Christmas. This year, an Art Deco inspired villa built in the Caucasus is the backdrop to Santa and his sleigh. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

Au Temps du Faubourg is a new, mixed-use development within the Serris suburb of Paris in Val d’Europe, A new town whose creation is linked to a desire to rebalance in the East, the dynamism of the Paris region. The project was led by our Director Simon Lilley and his brilliant team and in collaboration with Executive Architect Raymond Loic Chan of PCA Paris. It was completed in December 2023,the scheme comprises 90 residential, of which 57 are for private sale, and 33 social units, along with retail at Ground floor, and basement parking.The new buildings are in keeping with the faubourg spirit of the Parc district. The development site forms an entire urban block

Inspired by the suburbs of Paris, the architecture reflects the urban landscape of the 18th and 19th centuries. The buildings are articulated as a series of individual townhouses, and a mews terrace comprised of seven houses. Gated passages lead from the public streets to the private inner courtyard, at the centre of which pedestrian routes converge to form a small square.
