INFLUENCERS NEEDED.

We’re living in a world where we’re convinced that our worthiness, our confidence is dependent on the size of our following, email list, number of likes on our posts.

Truth is you’re worthy simply because you exist. You’re worthy because you are YOU.

The fact that you and I, we have a unique voice, unique perspectives to share is already worth celebrating.

The fact that you and I, we are all part of this one big community of dreamers who want to make a difference is already worth celebrating.

The fact that you and I, we have the ability to share our stories and inspire somebody is already worth celebrating.

It doesn’t take 100 likes to make your voice worth listening to.

It doesn’t take 10k followers on Instagram to make you an influencer.

It’s that you have a message to spread, a story to share, a cause to stand for makes you one.

Even if you have just one follower, you are an influencer.

HOW WE SHOP CAN CHANGE A LIFE.⠀

Last month, my team and I visited a poor village in north Vietnam as part of our "one bag for one dream" campaign.⠀
People there live on very little. And yet, they are one of the happiest, most innocent people I've come across.

Their laughter, their joy is contagious.⠀
⠀
The little girl sitting on my left, Huong, told me her about dream of growing up to become an actress. Her mom is working as a sewer and saving up to send her to an acting school.⠀
⠀
We're living in a global economy. Everything we buy, even if it says "Made in UK" has probably touched somewhere outside our border. The shirt I'm wearing has probably touched many lives. One of somebody who cut it; somebody who sown it and even somebody who packaged it. We're all part of this interconnected community called "Earth". ⠀

Therefore, how we shop can and will change a life.⠀

The artisan in this picture, Son, has been a leather worker for 12 years.⠀
He shared that to make a bag, it'd take him 5 days to a week from start to finish. ⠀
He puts his heart, sweat and soul into each stitch. ⠀
Leather has been his passion, his joy and now his livelihood.⠀

Giving is a two way street.⠀
⠀
It’s a poor remote village in north Vietnam.⠀
⠀
We went there to shoot a brand story video for our Innegem project, where we met these lovely children. ⠀
In just half a day being with them, we discovered that joy cannot be bought but only be found. ⠀
Often time, it’s found in little things, in sharing and giving. ⠀
We came with the intention to give and left feeling so much richer. ⠀
⠀
🌷 It turns out that they’ve made as much of an impact in us as we want to make in their lives.
⠀
🌷 It turns out that we’re all connected. We might come from different places but we’re all part of one big community.

🌷 Geographical borders do not separate us from that ONEness.
