We are delighted to announce the completion of our beautiful project for MHS Homes, St Clements in Rochester! With this news we can of course bring you some stunning images (the views! 😍)

St. Clements House in Rochester is considered a benchmark scheme for later living within Medway, providing 44 highly accessible, 100% affordable homes for over-60s. The scheme is designed to address loneliness and promote social interaction between residents, and to improve independence and quality of life for residents.

The homes are designed to for accessibility and are simple to operate, and reduce resident vulnerability to falls. Each comes with a ‘winter garden’ balcony, which works like a conservatory allowing enjoyment of outdoor space and gardening opportunities while enclosed with single glazing so they can be used comfortably year-round.

The development is located in the Centre of Rochester, with fabulous views of the castle and cathedral. It’s also highly accessible being next to a bus route and within easy reach of the train station.

Happy Retirement Peter!

Yesterday we held a special presentation to celebrate and say farewell to Peter Bowtell. Peter’s career at Jerram Falkus has spanned 38 years and he has led on many of our finest projects.

Peter initially worked on our head office as a carpenter with Falkus Joinery ultimately becoming Construction Director.

Known for being a calm and methodical presence (he is a great advocate for lists!), he has brought exceptional dedication to our projects and the team over the years. He has been a pleasure to work with and we wish him all the best in this next chapter!

The good old Beeb took an interest in our terrific Melfield Gardens scheme which completed in March this year. Now that residents have moved in it is lovely to hear how these individuals are settling in and to see the aims of the scheme in action.

We are immensely proud of our work on this Design & Build Passivhaus project for Phoenix Community Housing. We look forward to delivering more schemes which deliver benefits beyond the bricks and mortar in the years to come.

Based in Lewisham, they live in one of the first intergenerational housing schemes in the country.

Check out these fabulous drone shots of our Roxwell Road project! Framed by beautiful summer skies and Canary Wharf in the distance, the project is nearing completion. Special thanks to Togher Construction for sharing the images.

The scheme is for Be First Regeneration and is part of the revitalization of this corner of Barking through new housing and improved public space. Once complete Roxwell Road will have 87 new homes

Jerram Falkus Construction Ltd has been awarded the contract by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew to construct the new Learning Centre, Kew’s first net-zero building constructed to Passivhaus standards, one of the world’s leading low-energy building design benchmarks. This cutting-edge facility will support Kew’s sustainability goals while providing a dynamic environment for learning and will set a new precedent for eco-friendly educational spaces.

We were delighted to host the Mayor of Tower Hamlets, Luftur Rahman when we Topped Out at our Arnold Road project in Bow.

The scheme is seeing the delivery of 62 new genuinely affordable homes and 5 new commercial units. It is a key project in the delivery of the council’s commitment to build 4,000 new social homes for rent.

Surrounded by panoramic views of a sun-drenched London, Mayor Rahman completed the traditional ceremony by laying a brick on the roof of the building.

The Mayor said: “I am so proud to reach this significant milestone in delivering high quality, genuinely affordable homes for our community, with this modern, state-of-the-art building providing 100 per cent new Council homes for social rent and Tower Hamlets Living Rent - including large, family-sized and accessible homes."

Jonathan Jerram, Jerram Falkus Construction, Joint Managing Director, said: “We wish to thank everyone who has been involved in the project to date and has worked so hard to get to this stage. The project has presented many challenges which we are proud to have worked collaboratively to overcome. We are proud and delighted to be here marking this achievement and construction milestone with Tower Hamlets Council.”

Construction is expected to complete this winter.

🌟They did it! A big well done to our fabulous moonwalkers who took part in Walk the Walk's Moonwalk London! Stomping under the team name "Breast Builders in London" this was a fun way to support and raise funds for a fantastic cause - Uniting Against Breast Cancer.

Hot on the heels of this morning's announcement Alison has been Highly Commended for Female Business Excellence!!

The commendation was presented at the fabulous Women’s Awards Ceremony 2025 held by Tower Hamlets Council. This was a fantastic event and there were so many inspiring stories and individuals and we were delighted to be invited.

With talks from leaders within the Council and inspirational speakers, as well as fabulous performances from Samantha Antoinette Smith and Udichi School of Performing Arts it truly was a brilliant event.

This morning, Tower Hamlets held the Tower Hamlets, Women’s Awards Ceremony 2025 and we are delighted that our very own Alison Cormack has been nominated for Female Business Excellence 🌟!

In light of International Women’s Day, these awards recognize female excellence and celebrates the remarkable achievements of women living or working in the borough.

The award for Female Business Excellence recognises the achievements that a businesswoman has made where their drive and determination is an inspiration to all.

The nominations and awards honour the amazing work and contribution of these women in Tower Hamlets. Our Social Value Manager, Alison Cormack, is an inspiration and we are immensely proud of her for receiving this nomination.
