Our client wanted to transform a dry, shady garden beneath mature trees into a colourful, low-maintenance space that both she and her dogs could enjoy all year round.

We replaced the struggling lawn with dog-friendly artificial turf, creating a soft, clean area for play in every season. The tired, overgrown shrubs were refreshed with easy-care evergreen planting, complemented by flowering plants to add colour and interest throughout the year.

Winding stepping stone paths guide you through the garden to a charming hexagonal summerhouse, while the mature oak has become a standout feature with a bespoke curved tree bench wrapping around its trunk.

When we were asked to create a garden that felt like a Mediterranean escape, we set out to design a space where stepping into the back garden feels like stepping off the plane and onto holiday☀️

Using a framework of olives, cypress, salvias, agapanthus, roses and scented evergreen herbs, we captured the character and atmosphere of the Mediterranean while carefully selecting companion plants that thrive in a wetter English climate.

A calming palette of purple, blue, white and soft pink ties the planting together, creating a garden that has become a place to unwind, relax and enjoy that holiday feeling every day of the year.
