Thank you to everyone who took part in this year's Macmillan Coffee Morning. Colleagues across our offices came together to bake, buy and donate in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, and the generosity on show was something to be proud of. Together we raised £1,088.53 on the day, a figure that was then matched in full by our board of directors, bringing our grand total to £2,177.06.
In London, Daniella Standley hosted and led the spread herself with sausage rolls, cheese straws, a custard cream traybake and a sticky toffee and banana pudding. Debbie brought a homemade Guinness cake and cupcakes, Anthony made Welsh cakes and bara brith, Olivia a raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake, Dianna (Star Baker) a chocoflan, Sophie a lemon drizzle cake, and Ellie (Star Baker) a Matilda cake and Victoria muffins.
In Lichfield, host Autumn James (who was also Star Baker) kept everyone spoilt for choice with old-school cakes, chocolate cupcakes, M&M cookies and Biscoff cheesecakes. Abbey baked cookies, Amy brought Bueno cookies and chocolate brownies, Carrie made chocolate cornflake cakes, and Luke added chocolate cupcakes.
In Manchester, host Joanne Whiteley made tiffin and scones, while Lou and Margaret (Star Bakers) provided a coffee and walnut cake, lemon cake, Eccles cakes and shortbread. Nick and Katie brought a chocolate tart, Jamie baked chocolate cookies, and Chris put together a selection of cupcakes. A special mention goes to Taylor, aged 3, who provided the decorations for Manchester.
In Bristol, hosted by Alex Gedik, Mandi baked a chocolate orange cake, banana bread and carrot cake, and Kelsey (Star Baker) brought a strawberry and cream sponge.
In Glasgow, hosted by Claire Dollin, Paul (Star Baker) made an orange Greek syrup cake, Eloise brought double chocolate cookies, Sharon provided tablet, cookies and cupcakes, and Cara made tablet and top hats.
In London, Akaash won the sweet jar with his guess of 231; the correct total was 230. Jim won the bear for a second time, with his name being guessed as ‘Arthur’.
Our thanks go to every colleague who baked, hosted, donated or simply turned up with an appetite, and to the hosts who made each morning happen across our regions. Every pound raised will help Macmillan Cancer Support provide vital care for people living with cancer. From all of us at Jackson, thank you.
