We are now just one week away from this year’s Flood & Coast Conference in Liverpool.

Flood resilience is no longer just about defence - it is about adaptation. That means understanding risk at a system level and delivering solutions that work with natural processes as well as built infrastructure.

Our team are at Stand G19; come along and hear more about how we:

🟣 Assess and model flood risk
🟣 Design climate-adaptive, nature-based solutions
🟣 Deliver and manage long-term resilience

We are also growing our team in this space. If you are working in flooding, water or climate resilience, and want to be part of shaping this agenda, come over for a chat.

We are pleased to see Amey featured in Health & Safety International, with our Health, Safety and Assurance Director, Robert Doyle, sharing the story behind the development of Zero Code.

The article explores how Amey transformed its approach to health and safety by creating a simple, consistent framework built around empowerment, shared responsibility and psychological safety across a complex and diverse organisation.

Zero Code continues to play an important role in embedding a culture where every colleague feels confident to speak up, challenge unsafe situations and help keep one another safe every day.

We will be at this year’s Flood & Coast Conference.

As the climate challenge intensifies, the conversation is shifting from protection to adaptation. That means moving beyond traditional engineering alone, and towards integrated approaches that combine modelling, design and delivery with nature-based solutions to create long-term resilience.

Our team will be at Stand G19, sharing how we are helping clients rethink flood and coastal resilience, bringing together engineering expertise, environmental insight and whole-life thinking to deliver outcomes that protect communities and enhance the places they live.

Flood & Coast is a key event for the sector, bringing together organisations tackling the challenges shaping our communities and the infrastructure we all rely on.

If you are attending, come and see us – we would love to connect.

We were proud to host The King’s Seeing is Believing visit in Sheffield in partnership with Business in the Community, bringing together senior business leaders to hear first-hand about the barriers many people face in accessing opportunity and employment.

The visit explored the role businesses can play in driving inclusive recruitment and social mobility across the city, with visits to Meadows Nursery, Sheffield Futures and The Sheffield College.

Andy Milner, CEO at Amey, welcomed delegates and reflected on the importance of long-term collaboration between business, education, community organisations and local government to help create pathways into employment for more people across Sheffield.

Emily Davies, Director of ESG at Amey, said:

"It is a phrase well said that 'talent is born evenly but opportunity isn't'. This King’s Seeing is Believing visit across Sheffield brought leaders closer to that reality, replacing assumptions with lived understanding. When you see the city through the eyes of its people, you don’t just understand a place better, you understand the role you can have in helping it to thrive."

"And this is far from a one-way exchange. Through our partnerships and action on inclusive recruitment at Amey, we see firsthand how a diverse workforce strengthens our services - making this not just the right thing to do, but contributing to business growth and goals."
