🔨 Rare opportunity – Bench Joiner / Assembler

One of our experienced joiners will be retiring in May 2027, creating a rare opportunity to join the London Box Sash team.

We don’t recruit very often, so we’re looking to bring the right person in well before the retirement date, allowing plenty of time for a proper handover and training. The position is available immediately for anyone ready to start sooner.

The role includes assembling timber box frames and sashes, preparing windows for painting, some machining, and working from technical drawings and our production software.

Ideally, you’ll have at least two years’ relevant experience, although we would also consider someone who has completed a three-year carpentry or joinery college course.

Working hours:

Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am–1:30pm

Benefits include an early finish every Friday, quarterly bonuses, free parking and use of our on-site gym and recreational area.

Salary is dependent upon experience.

This home has been upgraded from original single glazed sash windows to high-performance double glazed sash windows without losing an ounce of its character.

Arched heads, gauged brickwork, detailed mouldings… all carefully retained and matched, with new sashes designed to sit perfectly within the original style. Double glazing and acoustic draft seal means improved warmth, less noise, and better efficiency, while still looking exactly as it should from the street.

Victorian homes around Dulwich are full of quiet architectural details that most people walk past without noticing.

One of our favourites is the decorative sash horn bracket and dentil moulding beneath the meeting rail — a small but elegant feature that adds depth and character to the façade. Details like this were common in late-Victorian and Edwardian houses and helped elevate what would otherwise be a simple sash window into a real architectural focal point.

When we make new windows for homes in Dulwich, we reproduce these details carefully in our South London factory using Accoya timber, ensuring the proportions and mouldings stay true to the originals.
