Studio Jayga Architects have designed an exhibition in collaboration with Friends Of Al-Aqsa marking three years of genocide.

KNOW THEIR NAMES is an immersive memorial dedicated to more than 21,000 Palestinian children who have been killed during Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

You can step inside and encounter an exhibition built around remembrance. Walk among tens of thousands of names. Confront the magnitude of the death and destruction inflicted on the children of Gaza. Engage with a chilling installation to visualise the 335 bullets shot at five year old Hind Rajab by Israel.

The exhibition has been created to give visitors a space to stop, reflect and remember. It brings together the names of children whose lives were still being written, and whose futures were taken from them.

Whether you come alone, with friends or as a family, we welcome you to visit Know Their Names.

Visit KNOW THEIR NAMES on opening night straight after the National Demonstration.

127 King Street, Hammersmith, United Kingdom, W6 9JG

Doors to the new exhibition in London opens this *Saturday 10th October* until *Friday 16th October.*

Limited spaces per time slot. Please book in advance to guarantee your place.

HOUSE OF GATHERING

A home shaped by culture, connection and the art of entertaining.

Planning approved and construction commencing soon on a rear and basement extension we have designed for a lovely family in North London.

The home brings together two cultures and a shared love of cooking, dining and hosting, creating a series of spaces that feel both intimate and generous.

At the heart of the scheme, an expansive open-plan kitchen and dining space provides the setting for gathering. A sculptural island forms the centrepiece, while a carefully considered split-level arrangement introduces depth and character. Full-width steps descend from the original house level towards the garden. A large side skylight floods the lower level with natural light, enhancing the sense of height and openness as the architecture steps down towards the garden.

Two distinct curved interventions shape the side elevations. One opens the home through a sweeping expanse of glass, framing planting and water, while the other forms a curved oriel window — creating an intimate place to sit, pause and connect with the garden.

Above, a green roof extends the landscape across the new extension, softening the relationship between architecture and garden while bringing an additional layer of planting to the scheme.

A project shaped by culture, food and togetherness, with every detail considered around how this family wants to live, gather and entertain.

Planning approved - Construction begins very soon!

The Bread House 🍞- revealed!

A new kitchen extension that we designed to a beautiful Edwardian property in Brentwood, designed around family life - and a love of baking.

The existing large conservatory had become an underused space - too cold to comfortably use in winter and too hot in summer. We designed a kitchen extension, transforming the footprint into a warm, practical and characterful space that can be enjoyed by the whole family throughout the year.

The ground floor was reconfigured to create an open-plan kitchen and dining space, a cosy snug, study, utility room and, most importantly, a dedicated room purely for baking bread.

The defining feature is a series of bespoke Crittall doors and window, framing views out to the garden and creating a strong visual connection between the new extension, patio and garden. The soft, curved profile of the central arch brings warmth and character to the contemporary extension - with a playful nod to the shape of a freshly baked slice of bread.

Between the existing house and new extension, we created a new courtyard to bring light, greenery and a moment of calm into the heart of the home. Within the snug, a bespoke oriel window overlooks the courtyard, creating a playful little seat that has quickly become a favourite spot for the children to sit, read and watch the garden beyond.

Outside, the extension opens directly onto a generous, level-access patio, creating an easy transition between the kitchen and garden. Designed for entertaining, family gatherings and children to play, the patio looks out onto a beautiful green garden, making the landscape feel like a natural extension of the living space.

A thoughtful transformation shaped around the rituals of family life, replacing an impractical conservatory with a light-filled extension that connects the home to the garden — and celebrates a genuine love of bread-making!

We really enjoyed working with our amazing clients from concept design design through to completion!

Baranda House ( বারান্দা  বাড়ি )

A significant milestone for the Baranda House project in South East London as planning approval has now been secured!

We reimagined the existing house through a carefully considered loft extension and wrap-around ground floor extension. The design seeks to balance openness with intimacy, creating a sequence of interconnected spaces that support family life while strengthening the relationship between the home and its landscape.

At the heart of the proposal is a generous verandah to the rear (baranda in the bangla language) —a contemporary interpretation of a familiar architectural element that holds deep personal significance for our clients. We listened to our clients and their special memories of growing up where verandahs were places of everyday life: spaces for gathering, sharing meals and spending long evenings with friends and family. Rather than simply providing shelter, the verandah becomes an extension of the living space, mediating between the architecture and the garden while encouraging year-round outdoor living.

Expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing frames the views of the garden, allowing the landscape to become an integral part of the living experience. Deep roof overhangs provide shading while creating a rich interplay of light and shadow across the facade throughout the day.

Charred timber cladding has also been used to give the extension a contemporary and warm character. Bespoke integrated planters soften the architecture, introduce seasonal planting and reinforce the connection between the built form and the surrounding leafy garden.

For us, great residential architecture isn’t just about creating additional space—it’s about designing homes that reflect the people who live in them. By responding to our clients’ stories, lifestyle and cultural heritage, this project creates a home centred around family, connection and a seamless relationship between indoor and outdoor living.

We’re looking forward to developing the technical design and seeing this project come to life!
